It is literally mimax 2025Bought one Poco M7 8GB/256GB version at S$147 (S$201 - S$30 shop voucher - S$24 Shopee Voucher).
This is supposed to be better than my two other Poco 4G phones Poco C85 (8GB/256GB) and Poco C75 (8GB/256GB).
I actually had MiMax 1 and it had bloated battery issue just after the warranty expired. I throw it away and for quite some time I ban Xiaomi/Redmi brand because of this. I know it is possible to replace the battery but I was not comfortable with the phone any more. Huawei, Oppo and Realme were my main choices at that time.It is literally mimax 2025
How about Xiaomi and Redmi range of phones (ie. non-Poco)... how do u find them now?I actually had MiMax 1 and it had bloated battery issue just after the warranty expired. But in late 2022 I got the Poco X4 GT for myself and Poco M4 Pro 5G for my parents-in-law. Then I started to use Poco brand.

Ic... it's been a long time since MiMax 1 time so maybe Xiaomi and Redmi have improved since then (in the area/s that u felt they lagged behind in when u had the MiMax 1)?I have never bought any other Xiaomi or Redmi phones after the Mi Max 1...
As mentioned, I mainly bought Huawei, Oppo and Realme before 2022 (2018 to 2022). After 2022, all the Android phones I buy are from Poco.
My main phones:
Siemens S25, 2000
Nokia 3350
Nokia 8250
Nokia 6280
Nokia 5233
Motorola Attrix 2, 2012
Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE, 2013
Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE+, 2014
Apple iPhone 6S 128 GB, 2015
Huawei P20, 2018
Realme X50 5G, 2021
Poco X4 GT, 2022
Poco X7 Pro, 2025
Note:
I had SingTel Circle membership from 2013 to 2020 with annual handset upgrade fee waiver (worth at about S$350 for my SingTel Combo 2 plan). I gave some of phones to my other family members.
2016: iPhone 7+ 256GB
2017: Oppo R11
2019: Huawei Nova 5T
Then I also buy iPhone for my wife.
iPhone 6S+ 128GB, 2015
iPhone X 256GB, 2017
iPhone 14 512GB, 2022

Ya... no point going for phones that are above a certain price range when the budget u set for urself for it can already get u one that satisfies all ur needs...Yes, that is for sure.
However, I have set my budget for Android phones to be below S$400 since 2022. And I will use mid range ones with 5G and NFC as the main phone. So it will be between S$200 to S$400.
In that price range I feel Poco brand phones are of better value than Xiaomi and Redmi brand phones, this is especially true that I do not care too much about camera image quality. Poco X4 GT and Poco X7 Pro are good enough for me in terms of camera image quality.
BTW, I kind of like MTK Dimensity 8000 series CPU based phones now, like Poco X4 GT, Poco X6 Pro and Poco X7 Pro.
Why have C75 then C85Bought one Poco M7 8GB/256GB version at S$147 (S$201 - S$30 shop voucher - S$24 Shopee Voucher).

That was an accident. Why have C75 then C85![]()
Liddat you also like me have many active low/mid phonesThat was an accident.
The Poco C75 suffered low speaker volume issue after a few months.
Then I bought Poco C85 to replace it, partially also because of long software support duration until year 2031.
But Xiaomi Funan Service Centre later helped to fix the Poco C75 low volume issue by cleaning up the blocked speaker.
BTW, Poco M7 also has long software support duration until 2031.

Changing region is the easiest. For some reason..SG one of the last to roll - out for XM. Regardless of model. Some regions already got HyperOS3. Don't know why ours so slow?
There are ways to bypass the auto update if you are keen to try. I have updated mine manually to 3.0.9.0 by downloading the rom file (from other sources which can easily be found with google) and replace the auto update file (during the auto update process) with it at the moment when it is downloaded 100% complete. There are a few youtube videos showing how to do it. Another easier way is to change region but I have not tried it.

Us 15U owners did that by switching to TW/AUS etc
Nope. Only updated 15U to HyperOS3...which gave some new photo features. My M7 is used for IG/FB/Line/TW apps... so no urgency to update. You updated to 3.0.9.0 too? How do you find HyperOS3 for Poco M7? I didn't really notice much changes and may be a little more fluid. No AI and hyper island seem like half version.
