https://nanoreview.net/en/soc/qualcomm-snapdragon-7s-gen-2

Compare with Poco F5 CPU , the old architecture with a78 a55 no fight at all
7s 7plus , big difference in performance
Just wait for f5 get cheaper can liao , skip the x6 base model

Not surprising at all

POCO X series hv always (most if not all) been one-level lower than the "flagship" F series ma

ie. previously X5 base using SD695 compared with F4 base using SD870 (albeit they recycle same cpu from F3)

Also

as saying goes - Newer doesnt mean better (with 7s launched 6 mths later than vs 7+)

so its just a no-brainer to get F5 (once its get cheaper)

if chiu dun chase after the "newest and betterest" cpu

Anyway

nice to see they decide to launch the X series earlier this yr

last yr they launch after CNY

PS: Hope this means the F6 series will launch "sooner rather than later" too

so that the F5 series can "faster" drop price

May I ask - X6 pro vs F5, whats the diff? X6 Pro chip is better but how about the cameras between the 2?
Also another consideration is the updates? Whats the diff between the 2 models?

Omg thought it was same chip as moi saw sd gen 2. Didn’t notice the +, aiyo sd marketing gotcha ah. Apparently got sd 7s gen2 and sd 7+ gen 2

walao …

wonder if the screen and camera will be better than f5, like higher ppi and res.

if X6 Pro indeed is a rebranded Redmi K70E, it will have a higher resolution 1220p display and bigger battery 5500mAh. Cameras specs looks identical so not much diff.

China K70E has 90W wired charging but seems like X6 Pro will downgrade back to 67W.

Believe its one of those higher cost components, thus, with better cameras, don't think can fit into mid-range segment.
Basically eating into the margin.
Lower the cpu then. Every year update cpu but camera module reuse?? Iirc poco f3 to f5 same camera

Bulk purchase CPU, whereas made to order for camera module from Sony etc., thus, the reusing for multiple iterations?
Made to order for camera means need to reuse? Ain’t bulk purchase the one that got a lot leftover

Perhaps CPU moves faster than camera modules. Most customers isn't gonna really have issues if the same camera modules are used for 2/3 iterations, as compared to having the same CPU.
Believe most can see that mobile devices technological advancements have plateau, nothing else much to add for every iterations.
I have no idea how they can keep up with yearly releases still.
