Oh yes that is right. I understand the ads can be disabled. Does it work still?
Yes, all along can be disabled. :o

How to remove ads in Xiaomi phones with MIUI and HyperOS
You can mostly remove ads from Xiaomi phones by disabling MSA. Go to Settings > Fingerprints, face data, and screen lock > Authorization & revocation. Find MSA and toggle it off. Confirm by hitting Revoke.
Just keep in mind this will only remove system ads. You'll need to turn off ads from other services and Xiaomi apps to clean up your overall experience

After combing Shopee and Lazada for weeks and months, still cannot find a case I particularly like. Nevertheless just bought and received a similar casing to the one pictured below. I had my phone knocked out of my hands and also dropped the phone due to mishaps so it was time to find a better casing than the default one. The default grey one has quite nice matte feel.

I bought a mi 14t pro phone case and cut out the camera bump.

Tried like 5 or 6 x7 pro cases but all too thick

This one is thick but I always favour having protection around my phone. I couldn't find anything that gave the assurance while being non-transparent. Or indeed anything I like so far.

One annoying issue seems to be the following, not so sure how to fix it or diable this one. I am using Singtel SIM Only plan (S$15.28 per month). I did not encounter this issue previously with my Poco X4 GT.

Xiaomi SIM Activation Service:

1) Activating "Sync call history Sync messages" using SIM 1...

2) Couldn't activate service:

Couldn't receive activation SMS. Make sure SIM 1 works properly and try again. Refer to the Xiaomi Account User Manual if you have any questions.

Ok lah. I wanted hybrid casing and one that is super protective. A lot of micro-scratches on the acrylic back after just using for a couple of days. Sigh no perfect casing haha.

Just signed up for Eight S$8 4G plan to carry out some testing on StarHub 4G network. Later I can upgrade the plan to Eight S$14.8 5G plan to test StarHub 5G network.

I may try out M1 Maxx 5G and SIMBA 5G later as well in year 2026.

Then I found out that Poco X7 Pro does not support eSIM.

(Edit to add: eSIM is a nice to have feature which is missing from Poco X7 Pro, but not essential for my use case, since it still has dual SIM).

Does the POCO X7 Pro support eSIM?

The POCO X7 Pro doesn’t support eSIM.

For your reference, here is more information about eSIM:
1. An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM technology that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card. It is built directly into the device’s hardware, allowing you to activate a cellular plan without inserting a physical card;
2. eSIM enables quick and easy switching between carriers and supports multiple profiles, making it a convenient choice;
3. However, the inclusion of eSIM requires additional hardware integration and software compatibility. It also depends on whether your carrier can offer eSIM or not.

No, I have no problems with Poco X7 Pro as my main phone with Singtel SIM Only plan (currently the only plan).

eSIM is a missing nice-yo-have feature, but not essential for my use case since it still supports Dual SIM.

I have chosen to go with Eight physical SIM.

BTW, I have never bought or sold anything on Carousell. I only use Carousell to check out prices.

I also edited the post to add a note.
