Hi, Have a X7 pro but unable to paste the glass screen protector and the side keep warping after try 3 different types, anyone knows what is the issue or is it the X7 pro glass not flat or manufacturer quality issue. Thanks

Take note it has already built-in screen protector. Did you remove the original screen protector? Did you buy the new screen protector specifically designed for Poco X7 Pro?

Yes,First thing I remove the new screen protector as I have many poco phones. And have fixed glass protector many times on a few sets my F4, X3 pro,X3 GT, X4 pro with no issues except X7 pro.
I order X7 pro glass screen from 3 different suppliers, only no warping using ceramic screen.

I see.

We have quite a few Poco phones as well, seven in use now. But I have only changed the screen protector of the old Poco X4 GT and not the other six.

Did you guys ever encounter google pay issues? At some terminals it just refuse to work, at others ok. No prompt to reverify fingerprint or anything

Never encounter this issue on my two Poco X7 Pro.

One of them occasionally has the annoying Chrome displaying empty page issue. Cleaning the cache and rebooting will sort the issue.

Yes the screen edge is curved....you can feel it with you finger...
For mine the glass screen protector leaves a gap and doesn't cover the curved portion but when I pasted it slightly went over the curved portion so that small part is not flush

Different mindset. They buy fruitphone planning to use for more than 5yrs, either pass it down to wife, children, maid, etc. They will wrap their phone, buy a thin phone to wrap it in case making it twice as thick. They treat it as sacred treasure, as an investment.
Apple software support eol v long.
So ppl also keep repair iphone cause software can last. Everywhere also have apple phone parts. Stolen apple phones can only be scrapped for parts.
Stolen android phone still can reset with the rigjt tools

Xiaomi only promise afew version support. Within afew yrs best to decommission.
I go ask to repair xiaomi some shop even say ppl rarely repair these phones.
Still, XM and Poco are better deals, especially <$200 range. iPhone simple repair or screen replacement will easily cost a XM/Poco phone.

No repair culture in SG, we are buy and throw. :o

Haha.

iPhone changing battery is still worth it. We changed the battery of iPhone 7+ 256GB version and iPhone X 256GB version after about 3 years usage by my wife, and both are still working.

Next in line is her iPhone 14 512GB version with 79% battery health after three years+ of usage.

Yes, apart from "higher end" ones like iPhones, Samsung etc.
Basically unless it's "premium" devices otherwise, most will buy and throw once EOL.

No need high end, low end phones can be used for very long time, making it even more value for $. EOL due to OS not updating is not much of an issue, as long as the device is used without relying much on constantly-require-updating apps will function well, as well as avoid visiting unknown websites. Those apps require newer OS, just install on a spare newer OS device will do. In the end, you have many spare devices to swap and play ard with. If die die need latest OS all the time, Samsung A07 or A17 promise 7 yrs of OS update. 😀

True for those that are in these tech forums in HWZ.
I believe the general population will just buy and throw, since there's always discounts and promotions, and most importantly our "strong" purchasing power. 🤪
Doubt most would know to isolate devices to specific usage only..

If using banking apps, focus on phone security updates, not phone os updates. One year after security updates not supported, better consider changing

Bank apps will usually stop phones from continuing usage once phone security updates stop. So such apps will be used in one's latest spare phone. All other old phones are for normal usage and swap fun.

Hence..I always tell folks to look at the Xiaomi AER device list if looking to use for elderly folks or longevity.

Look for long EOL and the AER guarantees 90 days cycle security updates.

For longevity and affordability, Samsung A series will not go wrong. 😀
