Think Poco F3 is one of those phones that is not Bluetooth compatible with the gateway. Can check the TraceTogether/SafeEntry FAQs on their site.

I just tested tapping the phone and it worked. Before I tapped, i opened the tracetogether app first.

can share any settings you changed? I've tried with the app opened before also but doesn't work.

i notice it takes a few seconds sometimes for the phone (any phones) to register with the sentry gateway, and this is with the TT app open in the foreground. whereas for the TT token, it is almost immediately registered.

Edit: trace together works after changing the app battery saver to no restriction as mentioned in previous post but the pop up still dosent come up, only a QR code icon appear on the right side have to click it and click open, extra steps.

are you referring to getting it to work with the SafeEntry Gateway? I can get the app open to work and scan QR codes but haven't had any luck tapping with the gateway like how the token can easily tap.

Ensure the BT is turned on way before you try to scan on the sentry gateway.

Don't on the BT just before about to scan.

For TT to work, On Bluetooth, allow the app to auto start, and put no restrictions on background task, and tap the phone near the corner of the back camera. Thats where the Bluetooth antenna is i think. Initially i tap in the middle and it is jot working.

BT is omnidirectional transmission like wireless lan, 4G/5G, no need to use specific area/location of the phone to "scan".

My main usage will be gaming and taking photos. Photos need not be flagship quality but decent enough for keepsake.

if budget allows, just go for the F3 for the screen and slim profile.
I had both and x3 pro is damm fat to fit comfortably in hands on the move or pockets.
