just updated, dolby really helps with the tiny speakers. from worse than my iphone now become better, can feel the bass & clearer mids. louder too. shiok

:s14:
wa... is it just the Dolby update or all long it's pretty good?

I just tested watching this YouTube trailer and the speaker sounds seems really crisp, clear and impressive now

Sent from Poco F3 using EDMWER app!

i thought the speaker was great from the beginning. my complaint is that there's a point where its too quiet and the next setting is too loud at around half volume there (night time MLBB)

do you guys actually like this dolby atmos? it makes my youtube vids sound odd and music sound like straight garbage, it just muffles everything and increases volume.
maybe ill turn it on when i watch a movie but it should generally be kept off.

Ya i must say the F3 speakers are good, coming from a single one to its stereo is great.
With this dolby update, the sound more "real" instead of being just "loud"

like got bug. after update, and reboot, if you go back to the update screen, it will prompt u to "Reboot Now" and update tonight.
When u tap Reboot Now, after reboot, its still there!!

Sigh...

but overnight drain seems to improve... i went to bed with 7x%. woke up with 7x% (not sure how much was dropped
send my son to school, used some step tracker app, checked the usual gmail, apps and such... still at 73% now!

hope this is not a "bug"

on 12.0.3. look at that damn straight line.
1% overnight everything on
dimming isnt fixed though, i downloaded genshin just to test it, dimmed within 5mins of max setting max brightness

hmmm this is tempting to try.. didnt think 12.0.3 fixed the batt drain issues but apparently it did

That is fine for me as i always flash custom rom previously. But for a cleaner rom, with better battery life, im fine with that i guess and updates comes faster :s13:

my previous X3, although bought from Shopee with local warranty, was an on Global EU ROM (didn't know until my friend told me)
apparently, there are a couple of variants when you talk about GLobal ROM. Its no longer CN or Global.

exactly. not mentioned of a fix but its very much improved.
since my morning post of 73%, wifi, BT on, occassional checking of emails and about 15mins tiktok from lunch, it only went down like 5%.
its currently at 66%! Hopfully not placebo.

Lol

I just took the plunge and updated to the latest FW via OTA, never do factory reset. So there is a Dolby Atmos menu item in the Sounds setting.. I guess that wasn't there before? Now charging the phone to 80%.. will monitor how the batt drain is ...

Some apps may not work too, eh banking apps, McDonald's...
Wrong. It will work. Bootloader unlock safetynet still pass so those app will work. If u root it then safetynet fail, then those app will not work

But it also depends on what the app checks for to determine if your phone is secure or not. But so far mine all working well Like Google pay, posb

Just checked macdonald working fine too. On pixel experience rom

from my last post after lunch at 66%, nothing is done, only wake screen to check notification.
till now it only dropped 1%!

i was expecting some heavy deep from the straight line previously since i watched some videos during lunch
but its a constant straight line.

lets see. update later.

I guess global 12.0.3 is EU rom 12.0.4 (fixed standby idle drain and screen dimming) + 12.0.5 because EU rom 12.0.5 changelog is the same as us :s22:

Our changelog:

EU ROM 12.0.5 changelog:

idled another 4 hour, -1%. i believe this is iphone level liao.
dolby atmos made my videos sound weird and music sound muffled so i googled abit about it.
its just marketing, i dont think you should really use it. it compresses the sound and uses something like a volume leveller, then raises the overall volume by a few db. some people will think it sounds better just because its louder but try it yourself, play a song then go in settings and toggle it on/off.

overall this update is highly recommended (turn off "atmos"). i dont see any bugs, although my 90hz screen colour issue still isnt fixed.
reducing daily idle drain from 20+% to maybe 3-5%, we will probably start seeing people post SOT of 10h+
