Collecting all those lazada vouchers and the bonus $5 off $50 paid off
I got the 8/256 for $402

Ironically after the midnight sales, the price went to %500 which let you use better vouchers :s13:
Use a 5% cashback credit card will have a further $20 cashback

Probably someone alerted Poco to reduce the discount by $1. They make $1 more per phone and buyers enjoy $15 more discount. Win win for both. Haha.

Btw, shopee is still sellng at $499.

hi guys,

to be honest, ive had the mi10T for 6 months and was very unimpressed by it. The MiUI was not smooth and simple functions like scanning safe entry could not be done. For file transfers etc, i felt it was laggy and battery life was not optimised even when i dialled down all settings.

Contrary, i used back Huawei P30 Pr pro and it was smooth.

Now the p30 pro is ready for retirement, would the F3 or X3 pro (i prefer expandable memory slot) be a suitable replacement? or is the miui user interface still lacking compared to Huawei?

thanks

If u dun like mi10t, i suggest u stay away from xiaomi/poco, all are using miui
Personally i use miui for so many yrs i feel ok, its acceptable
Probably ur expectation is too high so u buy the big brands better

actually not high but the user experience not the same. i assumed all androids would be more or less similar. Huawei is not at iphone level as well.

If u prefer iphone over android, i know what kind of user experience u need alr
This is why i ask u stay away from xiaomi
Regular long time android user who have use both before, most will tell u android is better
If u prefer iphone, u are looking at fuss free, smooth like butter
"i dun wan any problems" type of experience
Tbh only the big brands android suits ur needs, like huawei/samsung

I can only tell u sometimes miui does not work normally out of box, depends on model and firmware
U need to do some simple setting on it and it wont cause u problems after that
Altho mi10t is not the top flagship but it belongs to the higher end model
If u dun like it, dun look at xiaomi anymore

Look at the mi10t long thread, how many ppl are complaining the issues u mentioned other than TT?
Safe entry issue on TT app? Yes this is the one u need to do setting
Battery not good? Depends on ur expectation and do u know higher processor eat more power? Cannot compare with p30 pro and iphone
Laggy transfer? Where to where? Phone to sdcard or pc? If to pc, i got no issue at all and its fast and im just using a mid range model
If to sdcard, this one also depends on how fast can ur sdcard write, there is read/write speed on sdcard
And tbh when u are transferring files, why are u using the phone?
It is drawing the phone processor speed
High chance the phone will lag
This is a phone, not pc, diff type of processor

I found out the cause of the rebooting already.

With screen off.
Cover the fingerprint sensor, no need to press the button.

The phone will reboot with a white/blue miui logo.

anyone knows how to solve this and what's the problem? This happens when I hold the phone or put on pocket. :(

Try rebooting... problem will go away but will come back again. Not sure the root cause and too lazy to test further...

ya, u also have the problem?
I notice sometimes it will also reboot when I put somewhere. not sure gotta do with the size sensor or not.

hard reboot seems to temporarily fix the issue. I notice the problem after the latest update. :(

I dunno about Pixel 3. F3 camera is pretty decent for its price range, just don't compare with the flagship models and to manage your expectations. I have not much issues with it, but I'm a low mileage user. You can read more about it here
I understand the photo quality has been improved with the newer fw.

My f3 is still at v12.5.2 and even if I go manual refresh update, it said latest firmware and not showing v12.5.3. how u guys update to 12.5.3? Manual download from website? 12.5.3 is marked as Stable Beta so it is not available for the mass update yet?
