I don't have x3 pro but I am using x3 NFC. Miui 12.0.4. I have the option to turn off miui optimization... It's right at the bottom of developer options, all the way down.

Highly possible... cos miui should be just the xiaomi skin

From what i read in the mi forum just now.
If you already turn it off before you update to 12.0.4, then you can see the option to turn it back on.
After you update to 12.0.4, no option to turn off miui already. Have to root and use something like shell command.
So better don't update first before you disable the miui optimization.
I still waiting for F3, so not sure if it is working.

Fyi, my other xiaomi phone on global rom 12.0.5 can see option to turn on mi optimization. But i don't dare to turn it on though. Later cannot find the option to turn it off again

but is it recommended to turn off or on? I read turn off alot things not working properly. And also, for china rom turn off due to the aggressive background task killing

i turned it off for my previous xiaomi phone (redmi note 3) so the apps can stay alive in the background but during that time it's only 3GB, now it's 8GB so don't think it's really needed

Lol thing is, I updated it out of the box (without knowing it's on or off), go into Dev Mode, and it isn't even there lol
