Poco has revealed the launch date of its first smartphone following it becoming a standalone company - the Poco X2 is arriving on February 4, which is next Tuesday. The phone will have “extreme refresh rate” for “extreme gaming”, a 64MP camera with Sony IMX686 sensor, liquid cooling and a Qualcomm chipset.

The Poco X2 was introduced on Twitter with the extremely tacky hashtag “Be Smooth af”. There is also a short link, sending you to a landing page that advertises the Poco X2 refresh rate in a way that some might find childish, but many of the brands' Twitter followers are loving.

It is preferably to visit the smoothaf.co.in link on mobile because that way Poco can advertise its 120Hz screen a bit better, and after all, it wants to downplay your current phone so you go to the store and buy the Poco X2 once it is introduced next week.

Will need this post to change to X2 instead of F2
As X2 is a rebrand of K30, rather sian.
1. The notch...prefer pop camera so could enjoy full screen
2. LCD 120Hz refresh...cant feel it (when usibg k30)...

Would prefer using k30pro rebrand than k30...at least its 5G

Poco X2 confirmed to feature 27W fast charging, leaked images reveal price and specs

Chinese phone maker Poco launched the Poco F1 (aka Pocophone F1 outside India) back in August 2018, and after a long hiatus of more than a year, the company is set to make a comeback on February 4 with its second smartphone - Poco X2.

The Poco X2, likely to be based on the Redmi K30, will be sold through Flipkart in India and the e-commerce giant has already revealed that X2 will boast a 120Hz RealityFlow display. Now Flipkart has also confirmed that the X2 will support 27W fast charging.

The rest of the specs are yet to be officially confirmed, but if an image received by an Indian publication is legit, we'll see the Poco X2 pack a 6.67" screen and a quad camera setup on the back with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera.

The image also reveals the design of the Poco X2, which is similar to the Redmi K30. It also reveals the price of the X2, which is INR18,999 ($265/€240) for the 6GB/64GB model. There are likely to be more memory options, but those aren't confirmed yet.

That said, a live photo of an alleged Poco X2 has also surfaced, which suggests the phone will have a Snapdragon 730G SoC at the helm.

All this lends credence to the rumors and speculations of the Poco X2 being a re-branded Redmi K30, but it's still best to wait for official confirmations before considering anything final.

You can read our detailed written review of the Redmi K30 to know all about it, and if you are short on time, you can watch the video below about its key features.

Doesn't seem any major improvement other than higher specs. Fingers crossed has NFC, IR blaster. Wireless charging will be too much to ask for I think... :p

Take a look at Redmi K30 and you are looking at Poco X2. NFC is a question mark as it isn't an important function to users in India. Redmi Note 8 Pro Indian model doesn't have NFC even though global models do.

Wonder if we will be getting it as Redmi K30 or Pocophone X2? :s13:
