In gcam, go to settings, advanced, scroll all the way to the bottom, auxillary cameras. Turn on the wide and macro cameras.

The macro camera can go quite close and with some cropping, can get such close ups.

Even without gcam, at the top of screen you see a flower-like icon... that’s the macro.
I tried taking my floor carpet... wow... can see amazing detail
Camera about 5cm away from subject to see the effect.

Yes the stock camera app has macro mode. Also good enough

Officially as in Xiaomi by EIN (local distributor) and distributed to Singtel.

XM has 2 official sellers - EIN and XM official shop (on shopee) that ship direct from it HK warehouse.
