Hi there. I am just wondering that if I were to apply for SPF, would you get a say in your vocation just like the SAF or would you automatically be placed under NPCO vocation for your first few tours? I would like to clarify this as this is one of the main determinants for me going into SPF

Secondly, how heavily enforced is the after 6 months rule? I realised you could simply delete the SG@careers account and reapply again, thereby bypassing it but there is a chance that they will still have your data and not discard it.

Furthermore, I am actually going into SPF NS soon so I may decide to sign on then. How are things different for a SPF NSF vs a non-NSF especially in terms of vocation selection and training?

Help will be appreciated. Thanks!
For SPF NSF, if u fail certain training tests, they still can post u to staff deployments instead of frontline. You die die have to serve 2 years.

For regular sign on, if u fail good luck. Dont think you will b posted to staff deployments as they r usually filled by old timers and nsfs. Usually burn your pocket patimg back the training fees.

If you want to sign on, best to do so after u finish basic training ( if policy is still the same as my time, back pay + full 5 years contract in training vs no back pay + less than 5 years contract based on 5 years - 1 day ns x 2 regular days)

Anyway guys, any headsup for the 6 month residential training? Is there anything I should prepare beforehand that is not told by SPF?
Exercise more, like more push ups, situps n jogging. make your own bed everyday and put things in your wardrobe in a certain order. Wat did they tell you?
