Hey!

I'm female and I applied for CNB & SPF - DES mid-May, my application status has just turned to 'in process' for CNB. I was just wondering how long would it take for them to reply whether it be for the SA or rejection? Would it be harder for a female to enter CNB as well?

Also, if I ever get into the medical assessment stage, would scoliosis affect my results?

Hope I could get some answers here, thank you!

Not sure if i'm too late, but i have scoliosis too but passed medical. Signed up for SPF DES. As long as it's not too serious I think you should do fine.

Able to be more specific? There are many roles within the scheme itself.

Anyway I found some things on the career@gov website.
Positions under HTX seems to have a two-year contract for new appointees.
ICA have a psychologist position on a contract basis.

Hmm, didn't manage to find much. Found some traineeship for crime analyst role, contract employment. There's another analyst role in PID. No mention of employment or bond period tho... maybe others can help

A lot of the time is thinking on the spot. I think it's common for them to ask "tell me more about yourself" at the beginning to get the ball rolling. Next would likely be "why do you want to join the police force". You can prepare for those 2 qn, but nth else much.

Other than that do read up on their mission/vision/values as well as find out a little more like what unit they have (its more for preparing yourself rather than ans their qns. Never know, maybe those will give you ideas for your ans).

I don't quite remember the qns i was asked but I remember I was asked smth abt the HK protest. Prob not that relevant now but you may be asked recent incidents relating to policing not just local but overseas.

My first interview was last week! They asked a lot about past leadership roles, and also about the current affairs like GE :)

Btw, can anyone share how long is the waiting time to get an update for the second round for DEI? And whether they reject or accept, we'll get to know through email right?
