Currently I a nitec holder

I will get my local dip on 2022 april.. but I can't wait to join SPF😭 .. still long way to get diploma

I'm assuming you are a Y2 student because I'm graduating 2022 myself. Just think of how half the poly journey is over. Not forgetting one sem will be spent on internship (at least for me), it'll be faster than expected when the time comes.

How exactly is the eye test conducted during medical? - Would appreciate if could explain in detail.

2 yrs ago I did a surgery in one eye due to high level of astigmatism. the surgery basically doesn't reduce the level of astigmatism, but prevents it from progressing only. Although vision isn't entirely accurate in the eye, with both eyes I can view things clearly. Will this affect my application by any chance?

My eye test was simply cover right eye and read the chart, cover left eye and read the chart. I'm not sure how the surgery is going to affect you, but I think at some point you might be required to declare it

Hey thanks for the reply.

I wear specs, so during the test will I be asked to read without the specs as well?
Do you know roughly what's the distance between you and chart?

Don't worry about the eye test so much, there are police officers who wear glasses/ contact lens/ perfect eyesight. As long as you are not colourblind you are alright la. If you really need to know how exactly it is conducted, can send an email to the recruitment office

I read the chart with specs. The distance I'm not really sure, but the room is quite small so it's not too far imo.
