Hi! Anyone went for medical on the 13th ?

I'll be honest with you, compared to private sector, SPF have better welfare and things to learn. Now let me compare for you.

Private sector
- 10 days annual leave(up to 14 days)
- Bonus (not confirmed, some company don't have)
- Progession (some company limited progression depending on industry (eg stuck at manager role especially for those family companies.... MNC also hard, usually top management from people of their own country.)
- Medical benefits (some company have limited coverage(eg dental, medical leave)

Government sector (SPF)
-28 to 32 days leave
-Bonus (more or less assured will have, even during bad times eg covid 19)
-Progression (stuck at certain rank (Sgt3, SSS, SI for JO) - (ASP, DSP for SO)
However salary yearly will have increment even though no promotion.
-Medical benefits (Dental coverage, hospitalization leave, medical coverage for public hospitals and clinics)
- Unlikely to get retrechment, however retirement at 55(can still be extended to 62 with recontract)
- retention bonus and retirement bonus (7%-11% monthly gross salary top up into your retirement account... Once 55 can withdraw)
-Vocation(Many to choose from
(NPC, Eg GRF, CPU, CSF)
(ERT,PCG ,SOC, TP, Procom, Transcom,)
(Division IO, CID, PID)
(Trainer at HTA or at division)
(Commerical Affairs, recruitment department or licensing department).

SOC itself is have multiple units such as (PTU, K9, RDT(rapid deployment Troops), Sec Com etc.

So compare to private sector where you do one thing for 20-30 years, in SPF you can choose to do many different things throughout your career.

Wait a minute.
I just got my SA email, and it says application for police officer(direct entry sergeant/ptu). Does tht mean I will most likely end up in ptu?

During interview
-show confidence(tone of voice, posture, eye contact, firmness)
-If don't know the question don't smoke your way(they know if you are smoking ur answer)
- Show interest, ask questions (willingness to learn is important)

Yes, you applied for SPF PTU(SOC intake), do not reject the offer during interview or selection... You can change once you sign the confirmation letter and during training at SOC/HTA you can ask to be posted to NPC..
You can also post out of PTU once you reached 4 years at the post... No difference if you go NPC first or PTU as this is a long career, you will get to choose the vocation you want to go next time.

This helped man . However if I am rlly stuck in a question how else do I get past without smoking through thooooo. I heard now is a great time to join as there is a shortage of manpower ?

Tattoo where ? Is it visible if wear shirt and pants ? Ever thought of removing if it's visible to see if wearing uniform ?
If it's hidden etc, chest area or back should be fine.

Remember that SPF is a uniform group, everyone must have standardize outlook, short hair for guys, no visible tattoo.

Not visible . Is on the thigh area , is covered in uniform but if doing physical training with pt kit shorts maybe can be seen however with shorts inners can’t be seen .

During selection phase they will check, need to declare. If I recall HTA they will check ur body during first day, do not false declare cause you have to sign a document to state the truth...

Yes, when selected. There will be an email on confirmation. Can ask the officer there.
