I would like to know what to expect for medical? I've been reading past posts of bros that went for checkup and they said it's similar to the one at CMPB, is that true? Just received call and e-mail from Shenton Medical yesterday, still having butterflies in my stomach right now

- do they allow tattoos cause i have two on both of my thigh which cant be seen even if i wear berms .
- how are the interview like ?
like smile act guai that kind office boy or just be yourself ?
how do they interview ? their tone/style
- what the official working hours ? is it 2 day 2 night 2 off ?
- can i apply before i graduate as currently i left with 1 sem
- how's the training like over there ?? do i train with NSF ?

Hi iNostandard, CNB like ah beng looking type of people and yes you can have tattoo. I know this because i always saw them at Woodland Checkpoint as I work as an Apo there. I don't know how's the training like but I think you need to learn everything about drugs and be mentally prepared. You cannot be weak....

IPPT maybe a problem for you. You sign on as SGT & 5 years later still a SGT unless you stay in the force for awhile more to be consider for SSG, can tahan listen to order from youngster?

You may also be outcast for promotion to make way for young PO career advancement if both your performance is the same because you start late by 10 years compare to fresh diploma graduates. There are chances that these group of youngsters will become SSI or even SO in the future compare to you. So Management will stereotype that your 'motivation' level is not career advancement in term of rank promotion but rather 'stable job with income'.

Are you ready for all these ****?

Nowadays promotion are quite fast actually.. if completed NS, with average performance from Sgt to SSgt will usually only take 2 years. But definitely will lose out abit lar, doing a career switch at 30 everything start from zero.

Photos of the tatts will be sent to CID SSB for screening to see if its SS related or does it contain any explicit stuffs. And as long as the tatts are not visible, shld be ok. but after passing out, u can have visible tatts and provided not SS related or explicit stuffs.

monday to friday is official working hours. Unless there r Ops or u r on duty.

you will be posted to HTA and train together with police regulars for Basic Police Officer Course. After passing from for HTA, it will be OJT

2nd Application rejected

Hi guys, first post here, need some help :/

I've always wanted to be a cop since young and Im really keen in joining SPF all the way.

On Dec 2013 I applied once for JPO, got shortlisted, went through all the tests and both interviews and finally went for the medical check up, took a total of 6 months.

5 days before my enlistment day (9th May), SPF sent me the dreaded rejection e-mail and off to tekong I go. During my NS years, both in BMT and Unit, I asked my officers (My CO was notified as well) whether a transfer was possible and they said something along the lines that it wasnt possible because -

Firstly, my year of enlistment quite unlucky because shortage of manpower in SAF which may have contributed to the rejection, which is kinda true because usually in a company there would be about 200+ recruits, but mine only had 120.

Secondly, I got posted to a special unit which all the more couldnt release me, so I had no choice but to wait until I ORD.

So after ORD, I worked a few part time jobs first, then I sent my application to SPF like 2 days ago (April 24th) and then I got rejected straight by that e-mail again like yesterday without an interview this time.

Really confused right now as to whats going on and why I got rejected this time without an answer.

Hi all, went for police interview on the 04-04-2016. Completed Ns in police force. Till now they have not replied me. Most of my friends who went for the interview got rejected and notified within 2 weeks. It's already 3 weeks. I have no idea what to do. Either call them up or wait for them to email me. Hi guys i manage to go for 1st interview which include psychometric test follow by 2nd interview in 2 months time. Got rejected few months later. Never even went for medical checkup. So if i went for 2nd interview does it mean I pass my psychometric test or what?

hi Naveeinoz as for now is really just wait as no ans is sometimes good as well just wait patiently if u are anxious u can try calling them or emailing them but most likely the ans will be your document are still in process smt like that . Hope u get in . I have waited mine for a very long time as well.

I applied for PO and I got shortlisted for SA this coming Friday. Any tips for a newbie like me? I'm nervous even though there are still days to pass. I have stage fright, i get nervous and I can't think well or talk normally during interviews. Any tips on that as well?

On a side note, is there any other females up for the SA this Friday as well?
