Hi! I dont think it will affect your chances if you're a smoker ( couple of my friends are smokers and they got through)

Questions i remember are
1) tell me more about yourself and ur family
2) why do u want to join spf
3) what qualities do u think a leader should have

and some other questions that i dont really remember
i took about 30mins for the first interview whereas the second interview was just 10-15mins

Second interview for me was about the same questions as the first

well a tip i have is to familiarize yourself with SPF ( core values , motto etc)
work shift , MTE scheme ( if pre-enlistee) etc etc.

All the best!
Nice thanks a lot for your tip!
A bit too tight a time period for my bf to be enlisted as you on 11 October, eh? Reckon his will be much later than yours IF he's accepted?

Hey guys,

2 months after my Selection Assessment on the 1st of July my Application came up as unsuccessful. Pretty much discouraged as I was hoping to get thru before I have to be enlisted to my 4 weeks BRT in scdf.

Anyone knows the rough gauge to re-apply? And where did I went wrong? Personally, I think the interview went well with the panels, talk about family status, there is no bad police record or whatsoever?

huh you want to sign on to siam SCDF? go to scdf and be a man la. police BMT is like school PE lesson!

Apply Police while Serving Army

Hey guys,

i tried to apply for SPF in september 2016 but wasn successful. im gonna be enlisting into Army Infantry mono intake in 10 Nov. I've been wanting to be in Police force since young and ofc i want to apply again. but i want to know when i can apply again.

some people says i have to wait 6 months interval before i can apply again. i see on forums saying i can apply before i finish my BMT. and also read that if lets say im able to apply again before i finish bmt, then if the result wasn successful again, then i have to wait till i ORD to apply again. some even says i have to finish 1 year into my ns to apply again.

anybody here knows anth for my case? can ask any of your friends and families if they are serving NS, Army, or Police. would be a great help. Thanks

Why not give them a ring, at least u get to know the offical practice straight from them? In my opinion, a clear directive coming from the proper source will always be better for this matter.

finish ur NS then apply and join la. 2yrs NS + 2yrs bond. Much more better than bonded for 5yrs. Plus u save 1yr.

finish NS then join after 2nd year bond end can get promoted. U kana stuck w 5yrs MTE must after 5yrs then can promote.

I'm still waiting even after they ask me for my cpf statement. Emailed them and they told me there will be an intake on Nov.
Fingers crossed... hope we got good news soon!

Really hope that we will get the good news soon. The wait is really torturing.

Hi Everyone. Just wondering, how long is the Selection Assessment? Because they ask to report at 9am. Any lunch given if it takes the whole day?

For me if I remember, after the test will be lunch yourself. Then report back at the time they give you, which will be uniform sizing and interview. I heard some batch come back for interview on another day. So to be safe, just block out your day till 5pm?

Yup that's right, SA will most definitely take whole day. The longest waiting time would be probably for the interview at the end of the day, especially if you're unluckily the last in line. I was like the first person in line to get interviewed and still finished only at like 3+. If you're employed currently, just take a full day leave. Lunch is handled by yourself. all the best! Make sure you bring the right and necessary documents that they asked you to bring, as they are very particular about that. :s12:

totally agree with phantom on the documents and taking full day leave (i took full day back then so timing wasn't an issue on my mind), make sure you follow the instructions given to you on the email.
