when i learn coding python didnt even exist, the C point *, ** confused me as fiak

lim peh code c/c++ for more than 6 years, moi only used ** once... and its by no choice...

last time in uni, to help us student to understand the fundamentals for object oriented programming, we spent one whole year doing programming using Smalltalk language. very rudimentary, but very good learning.

just don’t act cute and start off with assembly….

ASM was the third language I tried to learn, because some things are much faster with assembly in Pascal

is pointer pointer.... used it to write the driver of a lcd screen, need to create variable size 2d array

Ya btw c++ market in sg not so good,

Best aim javascript, cos frontend react or nest js, next.js all the js need, also Typescript is upgrade version of javascript.

For backend Java use the most, cos sg mostly are finance job and ppl like microservice concept

Coding wasn't difficult for me as it's a hobby. Being old school, I've learned Fortran, C, Basic, ASM, C++, Perl. Never did pick up the newer languages. Also don't really like IDEs, so my tools were vi and make.

At one point, taught C to some lab technician and computer operators. What I didn't realize was the CS Prof was videotaping the whole thing, lol.

Aseembly language was tough.
C was ok.
C++ with array of pointers is shiiitty as hell.
Java was easy
HTML and 5 was easy

Because I started and being proficient with C and C++, learning assembly language thereafter was difficult because the syntax very very different.

I started with html and css then javascript
That time Dreamweaver is hot and react not born yet.

Then I move to java and then c/c++
Then c# and lastly python

During my school got touch some assembly and Lua, plus Groovy and angular during work.

Now I think learn react, cos too many company asking about react

I learnt BASIC when I was very young. It's not too hard and good for beginners.

the most difficult thing is the logic first.

you need to have strong maths foundation and logically thought process.

to be good , you need to be creative and smart. you want to be great , need to in a way come out with new formulas.
