same reason as everybody here who got the silver. black is sexy got some certain appeal but for the last how many years, all my phone is black, I think for 2017, silver is good for a change. plus the stainless steel sides is just too flashy if you use a clear case

The space grey seems more like a tribute to the original iPhone (not supposed to be 3GS) for its light grey/black backing.

Initially I chose space grey, then on the pre-order date for Singtel I changed my mind to silver. At the last minute when pre-order starts, I selected space grey and never regretted. I felt it looks nicer than silver which is a bit too 'blingy'.

Agree. Initially drawn to the silver cos of the white back. But after seeing it in real life, the silver chrome frame a bit too bling bling. Reminds me of the Note3 or 4 frame. No doubt the white back is still v nice. Prefer black or space grey since 6 Plus era.

In fact I've always preferred the grey shade over silver as the later is a more common colour. I also never had a silver iPhone since 5S.

Silver. Fingerprints on the grey will drive me nuts. Plus no coating on the bezel to wear out.

I've placed mine in Apple's leather case since day one (4 Nov) and have not taken it out, even though the bottom part is exposed, it's completely scratch-free.

Charging port n above Kena scratched. Can c the silver part already. Looking to refund it today n wait for silver one.

Prefer sg too but cannot ta han the scratches.
