How you wash is super super super important. Some polos cannot be hand washed, some cannot tumble. If you cleaned it wrongly there's no doubt it'd stretch.

if cotton, hand wash shouldn't go wrong right? if so, then the fabric is too delicate to be usable...

just like suits, the most expensive wool don't necessarily make the best looking and wearable suits...

No, because hand wash requires tugging and stretching of the fabric. Some clothes, like those from Alexander McQueen actually require dry cleaning instead of hand washing. The fabric (probably Egyptian cotton) is rather delicate but not too delicate to be usable. It is generally assumed that when you wear such items, you dont let people pull and tug on your shirt. The same goes when you wash it. Normal usage however, is perfectly okay and does not damage the item in any way.

Its actually somewhat like leather. Textured old hides are durable, but soft calf leather requires alot more care. Yet its not actually delicate

Cotton and wool and very different things and have very different properties. To say why this analogy is incorrect would really take alot of time.

No wonder your items died. you are not supposed to hand wash most of Dior's items

On the side, Most of Alexander McQueen and Dior's shirts / knits / tees are supposed to be dry-cleaned.

Im surprised you jeans tore...Jeans are perhaps Dior's most popular item. The shoes / Bags are pretty bad though, ill admit that. Which is why i only buy Dior clothes

Try Dior, Alexander McQueen, McQ By Alexander McQueen, Jil Sanders, Raf Simmons, Bottega Veneta or Louis Vuitton. They make great polos. But LV's fit is rather big so you'll need to actually try. and oh, its about $500+ for one if im not mistaken..

If your budget is closer to $100, Look for Brooks Brothers or Ted Baker.

where to buy Raf Simmons stuff ? Interested to kop.

Dior polo tees need to be dry cleaned?

i'll pass then... too troublesome...

what if hand wash just by soaking in water without any rough handling?

Should be fine, just rinse + dry normally (NO tumble dry!). Then dry clean maybe once every 2-3months. This is provided you dont dirty the polo too much (excessive sweating, spillage..etc)
