during my time (2008) we went for our driving course/atgm course 1st.. before our AIT/GCC...

I was referring to the light strike coy of 7SIB.. not 1GDS

however, 1GDS also got it's own light strike estab.. but its under SP coy..

driver is quite slack already. others are trooper. you just need to concentrate for long hours of driving. you might need to fix the tracks if the tracks come off.

give you relatively slack job, complain boring. get chiong sua job, complain shiong. go change with those in recce or gds.

Armour Engineer is also know as Pioneer. Like most vocations, they belong to Support company (SP Coy). They help to clear obstruction for the battalion or rather the soldiers and (in armour) the tanks. They clear corn wire, minefields, bombs etc. On the other hand they also learn how to build corn wire (Single corn, triple corn or 10 corn), plant bombs etc. I am not sure if they are the ones who also build bridges for the tanks but you will go through EOD. (The bomb badge on your left chest.)
