No luck though. I am trying on launcherpro all along. I switched back to default launcher and its the same.

My apologies. Widgetlocker is working fine. There is a problem with the theme i was trying on.

I downloaded oneseven and bobclock, both doesn't work on the Optimus 2x, on android marketplace, it give me the option to "open" which is greyed out. Possibly an OS compatibility? O2X is using froyo 2.2.2

Not a glitch.
You aren't supposed to open widgets. They can't be opened. But rest assured, it's already installed.
You go to your homescreen, and long press a blank space. Press add widget.
