whereby u can unlock by tapping home button twice?

Was it a bug? With Homehelper, the home button can be blocked.

For double tapping, you need to disable the voice command first.

anyway i guess without doing those that u recommended, it'll still be able to be unlock with double press on home button?

Without disabling voice command, yeah the screen could be unlocked accidentally by double tapping home button, since Homehelper doesn't seem to block double tapping.

But I set a pattern lock, so double tapping doesn't actually unlock my screen lol..

Homehelper does block home button presses on my S2....so I dunno what u guys are experiencing.

And there's a root option on WL just for S2, but dunno what it's used for, not very descriptive.

For my Note, it wasnt able to block double taps (still see voice command out of nowhere), single taps were fine...till i disabled voice command totally.

For change of icons, wallpaper and lockscreen, no root is required.

Lockscreen = widgetlocker.

Icons = 3rd party launchers like go launcher, launcher pro or adw launcher. These launchers can be themed. Search in the market.

Not of a huge difference that I know of.. But having widgets is a different matter.
