I think he is a samsung promoter working at global IT But Global IT is an authorized reseller of Fuji Xerox so dont worry..

It's covered under warranty for 4 years in a FX printer right?

Yup it is covered under the warranty. After the warranty it would be $60 for the drum of page yield 30,000.

I didn't know drum also got page yield one.

So how long can the original drum last for new FX laser printer? How to tell if drum needs replacement?

All drums have page yield to ensure the print out quality. When your print out is smudge, or have streak of line on your paper it could be your drum problem. Either spoilt or finish of duty cycle. Some brands like brother will prompt you when your duty cycle finish. But for fuji xerox I doubt you can finish the starting drum haha. Starting page yield 30k also.

Within 4 years, very hard to reach the 30k page yield right? So I think no chance to replace the drum while still under warranty already....

Yup shld be but just in case yours spoilt instead of duty cycle finish still got warranty cover hahah. Four years is a very long time hahah. Probably by 3rd year you are tempted to buy new models already..

Switching between Mono and Colour

Looking for a Laser Printer which can use alternatively mono and colour printing (swapping of toner cartridges is ok) and has colour scanning.

Any ideas, please?
