Got myself a Xerox CM205f in the last show.

After setup - can't seem to scan to computer or to a email.
Any quick check to find out what is wrong/missing ??

Note: via network. Printing is OK.

Is it still worth to get the Brother HL-2240D now or there are better ones at the same price?

HL-2240D is currently still worth the price as the nearest competitor Fuji Xerox P255dw is not available at retail stores yet.

Which model and price can perform the following:

1. Colour
2. Print, Optional: Scan, Copy and Fax
3. Less than $800 (Best is $500 or less)
4. A3 paper size.
5. Individual ink cartridges or toner

Thanks

Global IT? But this model profit margin not much so the most like 10-20 bucks only.

bro, wanted to ask you this for some time.
actually if using your compatible cart, which mono printer will offer the lowest capex per year for high printout, mid printout and low print out range?

I would this that those model that offer the most number of year of warrenty will be the best since service parts and cover.

for those sled printer, do they have drum?

Brother MFC-J6710dw or MFC-J6910dw. You have not much choice cause you require A3.

I would appreciate it if you could define the printout capacity for high, mid and low in terms of prints per month.

As for SLED, they do have drum. Currently only Fuji Xerox have this technology and their drums are under warranty.

Looking for printer

I'm looking for a color printer for home use.

Number of pages per month only about 10-20pcs.
Sometime not even do a single print in a month.
Sometimes have a need to print photo or color document.

Requirement:
All-in-one (fax not necessary).
Network connectivity is preferred.
With Duplex capability.
Low ink replacement cost.
Budget less then $400 (printer itself), possible to get?

Due to my low usage, previously using inkjet and always facing ink dry problem.

Choose laser printer will it be more suitable for me?
As i know laser printer will not have ink dry issue.

Anyone please recommend a good choice for me.

Thanks.

With your budget, the most you can get is a print only function laser printer.

If you want the requirements, you have to get a inkjet.

Laser printer is better as they wont dry up. With your printing capacity, normally you wont have to change the starting toner for quite a long time.

I have put the price of the printer for your requirements as a gauge for you.

best bet on Fuji Xerox CM205b..S-LED technology is just so fine.. can print, scan thru wifi..runs smoothly on a windows platform but not on linux.. have not tried it again, probably need to research more on softwares that i need for it..

Btw CM205b do not have wireless connection. It is using USB connection.

If you want wireless connection, you may want to look at CM205fw.

Thanks for your advises.

If this case, may you able to recommend which brand and model is good and reliability for below requirement?

1) Laser color and mono printing
2) Wireless printing
3) Scanner
Duplex not a must

Thanks.

For colour printing, the top 2 brands are HP and Fuji Xerox. For all-in-one and wireless models, there would be two only.

HP CM1415fnw $949(retail price)

Fuji Xerox CM205fw $649 (retail price)

The hot favourite is Fuji Xerox model due best colour print out and valued for money.

Thanks again your replied "the Toners" .

According to spec, the toner normal yield is 1k ,
if my usage max 30pages/month, which mean in 3 years i no need change toner?
Will the toners can be last for so long with slow printing usage?

For HP CM1415fnw toner

Black 2k page yield
CMY each 1.3k page yield

For Fuji Xerox CM205fw

Black 2k page yield
CMY each 1.4k page yield

Starting toner all provided is half regardless of brand.

Lets take black for example. 1000/30 = 33 mths (ard 2+ years) then you need to change.

Toners cartridges contain powder not ink thus it would not dry up or evaporate.
