Is Prism+ TV worth getting?

Hi everyone,

I am asking on behalf for my father. First, I am not that tech savvy but anyways...

My father is interested in getting the Prism+ TV 55 inch, and seeing that it is having promo now at 599, wondering if the tv is worth getting it?

Tried to do some 'homework' online, some said the reviews on the website is fake and some said that the technology used is old, the color is not good etc etc. Not sure which is right or wrong..

And so, is it worth getting it? My father has a small home theatre system.

Given the limited budget, your choices are TCL, Xiaomi or this.
All three are able to give you images, function as somewhat smart TVs.
For quality, better processors etc, you will need to spend more.
So if your dad wants something for HT and long term quality viewing, he should at least take a look at the TCL quality and see if that is ok.

IMO, these panels are great for news, free to air channels etc. But you don't see buyers of all three TVs screaming praises about quality in most forums.

But the buyers have been largely satisfied with what they got for what they paid for, and that's the important part to remember.

A TV will last a few years so I tend to advocate spending on the best panel that you can.

I'm having issue connecting my TV to my wifi. The Prism folks say can only connect to 2.4GHz WIFI. After changing my WIFI setup still can't.

Did you manage to resolve it?

I have Deco M5 network and the TV E43 fails to connect to that (it's 5G+2.4G) - had to use my Asus 2.4GHz network wifi to get a Wifi connection...

I am less than impressed with this surprise...

No - the sound is awful and still need an external Mi box or something like that if you want to watch anything other than Netflix... Price is good, but I guess you get what you pay for... Not buying this again...

Worth to get the Q series?

Depends on what features you're looking for.

Q-series has NetFlix, Amazon Prime, Youtube.

Selling point in the Google Play Store where you can install TV apps where you can watch even more content.

Prism android tv as a PC?

Can a Prism android tv be used as a desktop pc? Can I install Windows in it, or on a linked external harddisk, and use the tv as desktop pc and switch to watching tv programs after desktop pc work?

If I am in the wrong forum, Admin, please transfer this thread to the proper forum. Thank you.

I am very new in such IT and would appreciate as much help as possible. Thank you.

:)
