On NS, my view is East Coast will be much tougher than Marine Parade for WP to win.

Other than WP not having NS any more, PAP has improved with ET and the two charismatic minority race newbies and HSK is no longer that surprised last-minute-sent-to-East-Coast guy. HSK can now joke about that fumble and will win more support/ sympathy votes. And most importantly, compared to Marine Parade's TSL and SKP, the swing voters have nothing to hate about the MIW there.

But I keep seeing people say East Coast is easy... dunno if these are moles or oppo supporters who only want oppo to win outside of their backyards.

My understanding of people living in the east tells me they will like this team.

In the end, Sengkang GRC flipped to WP last elections. Think the original Punggol East is part of Sengkang GRC now too.

Hoped for Charles Chong to be part of the losing team so that he could have personally felt the disappointment, but well took NCM and LPM losing as a consolation. Especially NCM, don't really like him typical army kia general.

The team other than YJJ that time was practically newcomers, plus think their CV not exactly stellar as this time rounds candidates.

Heard that TCJ had the reputation of being "on the ground" with local residents but not that I know of.

Tbh I am a MP GRC resident too, so guessing perhaps he is more active amongst the Chai Chee area residents?

If Sylvia were to be fielded in MP together with another star catch (Harpreet Singh??), maybe really got chance of breakthrough.

Honestly speaking, not exactly sure as I cannot speak for the rest. I don't really speak about politics in real life unless with my friends (time to time colleagues), but think me and my friends mostly should be voting for WP.

Most of the people I know like quite politically apathetic one, get their sources from FB, etc.

So WP (and PSP/SDP too) should try to leverage on social media and be more media-savvy more too.

Tbh, the chicken wings (CDC Vouchers, etc.) really is very useful with the older generations la. Plus, main-stream media also keep praising PAP so is difficult to convince them to vote elderlies.

Unless of course, you are an elderly who still working as e.g hawker or drivers, etc. Then perhaps you have an axe to grind with government due to the high rental costs or COE costs + ever-increasing petrol prices, etc.

If it real, I think Pitman moving to another ward might be because he doesn’t want Aljunied to lose its footing after the unfair trial. He probably doesn’t want to drag his teammates down with him.

If both of them end up contesting in other GRCs, I really hope they can win those new areas. It would be great to see them expand their reach and continue making an impact.

Yeah now WP is trying to do more outreach on social media. They have just launched their telegram channel where they can keep subscribers up to date of the latest developments and their candidates now all seem to have their own IG accounts too.
