Get drivers from Intel directly. Install the INF drivers. Then install OEM mobo drivers if needed.

Make sure you have the latest version of iType or MS Keyboard & Mouse Center.

Please upgrade to a better Antivirus product.

Check Language in Control Panel regarding your Keyboard priority.

Finally works after setting up my email as the administrator.
THanks bro!

Just realised that it doesnt work fully, my sub folders and files for certain folders have to set control manually, even though in the parent folder I have set FULL CONTROL.

Please advise.

For example;

D:pictures (Set full control)

But sub folders D:pictures/2011 all cannot access.

Make sure you've checked "Replace all Child objects..." to ensure the permission is propagated to sub-folders & any other files in them.

My creative soundblaster x-fi xtreme audio cannot play any sound at all after upgrading despite installing latest drivers.

The whole computer will hang if I try to play any sound through it (even the simple test in speaker settings).

Have to use a USB soundcard with earpieces now

Then try uninstall it & see if anything changes.

Windows 8 IME behavior is different from previous Windows.

It no longer remember IME by program/app. It's just 1 or the other now. So you have to remember to switch it back.

Hi all..

just installed windows 8 from 7.

My laptop is quite old.. from 2009.. running core2duo..dunno what.

Anyways there seems to be an overheating issue. Fan runs like its playing crysis when watching youtube and it will shut down after 2 mins of video playing.

Updated the latest gfx card drivers and still to no avail.

Never faced this issue with windows vista and 7.

Been to sim lim in december and did all the cleaning of fans etc.. so nothing inside the laptop is mechanically "dirty"

thanks again.

When this happen, open Task Manager to see which process is using CPU.

those that has problem with microsuck keyboard volume rocker not working in microsuck windows 8 pls see this

To do this on Window 8:

- Find and Right-click Computer in your Start screen. (If you can't find it, just type in the word Computer and it'll search it out for you.)

- Choose Manage from the bottom of the screen. Computer Management will open.

- From the list on the lift look for Services under Services and Applications. Click it.

- Right-click Human Interface Device Access from the list to the right. Choose Properties.

- Set Startup type to Automatic from the General tab. Press the Start button towards the bottom to start the service immediately.

I'm using English USA, not sure if English UK is the cause of your problem...
