We have filed a police report today. The police mentioned that this is a high profile case meaning there are also other police report filed by other victims. We have parked the gold and never recieved them back after 2 weeks.

My recommendation is all the victims who has parked the gold with Genneva to file a policy report so that the cases can be reflected to the commercial crime unit. Every case count. really.

My suggestion is to file lawsuits against the agents as well, especially against the top agents. They probably earned quite abit of commission so probably can get something out of them. I m sure they did not paint the picture fully to clients also.

Of course my guess is most genneva clients are probably blinded by greed to invest in a mathematically impossible product (read bernard madoff) but hell since you re in the hot soup already. Most importantly lawsuits against the agents will also help deter people from working for these scam companies.

We have heard of customers having their gold delayed as long as a month! That is why we are advising Genneva customers not to return their gold for any reason back to Genneva!

Updates from my side. GV did return the gold back to me with 12 days delay back on 12th Sept. Same happen for a friend of mine as well. New gold i gave them last Thursday 20th Sept they promised to return Thursday 4th Oct. I am waiting and hoping now. They told it will take 10 days only after i deposited with them the gold. Before that was only left with the impression it was 3 working days.I will give update on the 4th Oct again.

Guys... any way to test (non destructive) the credibility of the Gold given out by Genneva?..

I checked with Assay Singapore... they have 2 mtds.. one is destructive in which they drill into the gold... the other one is non destructive but is only able to test the surface....

I went to maxi cash and money max. Both decline to accept the genneva label gold. Other jeweller shop will accept and pay only after 3 days of checking if they are real gold. From my understanding, Genneva customer has being enquiring in selling their genneva gold.

Should i
1. keep genneva label gold or
2. trade in to get other gold or
3. just sell off the genneva gold

can someone advise me. thanks

did u get back the same gold with the same serial no.? If no, it could be the gold that belongs to others. My wife agent returned the gold to them for renewal on 10 sep 2012.

Hi bearbearfury,
does your gold bar comes with UOB packaging? if yes, you can sell back to UOB at UOB plaza.

Since your gold bar is not UOB certified, you can check with this company they do precious metal certification as well. Charges is $250.00 + GST

Singapore Assay Office
249 Jalan Boon Lay
Singapore 619523
Tel: (65) 6261 6418

or check out their website, just type "Singapore Assay Office"

Hope it helps

No. it is gold produced and verified by genneva.

For Genneva Gold Bar they will buy in at MELTING price after they have tested if it is real.
Which you will loose more than 35%

Mine is the lion head gold. Will UOB buy back too?

UOB don't buy back if it is not in the seal by UOB and if you have no receipt of purchase from UOB they will buy back - $100 if it is in the seal...No seal they won't buy back..Go call UOB and ask them yourself..If it is the Singapore lion head gold coin, should not have any problem selling in Singapore..
