Saw the website. It looks like 5k can only get the yellower ones like H color and SI quality diamonds.. And the cut isn't Excellent.

The one I bought is excellent cut but I compromised on clarity and colour as i know my gf will just like a diamond that is sparkly and as big as possible. Given my budget, this is the best i can get for her. The diamond doesn't really appear yellow at all or at least i can't tell. I really hope she'll like it!

I went down to JP and vivo but couldn't find one that i liked. I thought the service at Asta was also really good! He was very sincere and professional. I had a really nice experience buying from them.

nice leh! showed my wife this design now she got considering this type also...
she commented that the bottom layer of diamonds below the head...not sure if this called halo... very special..seldom see this.. always see those with diamonds on bird eye's view only..

Out of curiousity, what kind of designs can be set for the cushion brellia?
So far I've only been seeing 4 point settings or like the one from popsoda

I think all squarish diamonds only uses 4 prongs.. Imagine you use like 3 or 5 prongs.. The diamond will look lopsided

My sense is:

4 prongs if your diamond is small-medium carat size (cuz the prongs cover the diamond and block the view)

6 prongs if your diamond is big carat (and having 6 prongs covering doesnt matter cuz the diamond is big enough).

Tough choice bro.. they are all about the same price.. different people would have different preference.. it depends on which aspect is more worthy to you.. Personally, I'll pick the 0.67 E VVS2 or 0.68 F VS1.

Yes I agree it is a tough choice. Intend to Compromise clarity and Color for bigger carat, however worried that the difference between E/F and G would be too big ( lesser concern on clarity). Headache man !

But more than birthmark is still fine. It usually means it is much smaller..
