Hi guys,

read through all 120 odd pages of this thread and i just wanted to give a shoutout to all of you regulars who're always ready to help with comments and critiques. And not forgetting the education. It has also been interesting seeing the cycle grow - how some who've, like me, come into the thread not knowing much, grown to become one who can help critique.

Thanks again, and stay around! (for i'll be posting when it's my turn, heh)

Did you manage to get any stone from JP?

Currently deciding between the cushion brellia or super ideal.
I’ve seen cushion diamonds before, didn’t like it cause it looks like broken glasses clustered within... (correct me if I’m wrong haha)

But I love the cushion brellia! And its hearts & arrows!

You've got good taste bro, my exact same sentiments :D
All along I don't like the look of a normal cushion diamond, it does look like shattered pieces of mirror put together.

Have you seen the Solasfera?
Previously I was deciding between the Solasfera or the Cushion Brellia, but ultimately the Cushion Brellia just seems much more intriguing for me :s13:

Just received another version of the ring setting in white gold from JP.
What do you guys think?
I prefer the rose gold version better actually... but just wanted to be sure with it, that’s why I asked for the 3D design in white gold version as well...

If you want the flowery look, it has to be the rose gold claws.
The white gold version looks good too, just that it looks common in my opinion.
I would have set my mind on the rose gold claws no matter :s13:

It’s at very premium specs actually, F color in colorless range.
Clarity at VS2 eye clean, and considering the carat size at 0.48ct is fantastic, it’d be a good buy :)

Solasfera being a round modified brilliant has no cut grade on it''s GIA report.

Cant really compare the price as they are not standard 57 facet Ideal H&A.

But 0.48ct should be a good buy as normally the price will jump once reach 0.5ct. Try to compare with the price of 0.5ct to see if really save a lot as i believe you cant really see the difference between 0.48 & 0.5ct when put them side by side.

How abt a super ideal cut 0.7ct F Vs2 3xE at $5.5k, 0.58ct G vs1 2xE, symmetry very good at $3.6k, 0.71ct E SI2 3xE at $4.5k the flaws is at the edge... Which of this is a better buy? Thanks..

If i'm not mistaken 2nd & 3rd stones are not from JannPaul as their Super Ideal are all 3EX and VS2 and above.

Is the 1st Super Ideal from JannPaul? If so i think the price looks good. If this is not from JannPaul you must inspect with Aset scope to further determine if it is Super Ideal. As mentioned by other members here before, they are so many jeweller claim that they do carry Super Ideal but turn out not even an Ideal H&A.

If you are really looking for Super Ideal, always stick to JannPaul. If you are looking for Ideal H&A with good price, you can try White Dwarf at Trivex as i have been visiting both before when i am upgrading my wife engagement ring. Their White Dwarf Ideal selection are all Ideal H&A at very competitive price.

Did the jeweller show you the ASET image of these 3 stones? Without the GIA report & ASET image, i dont think any bro here can tell you if these 3 stones are good buy.

Why not you pay a visit to White Dwarf as they do provide ASET scope, Ideal Scope and 10x loupe for inspection. If my memory serve me correctly, i have seen some of their Ideal H&A and the aset images are quite similar to what i seen at JannPaul. Their price is much lower compared to JannPaul's Super Ideal. I would advise to compare the quality and price from difference jewellers especially those jewellers who do provide ASET scope during the viewing session.
