your depth is not 60%, it's about 64.8%, which makes the HCA score about 2.6

bro how come you know his depth not 60%?
Well if you want to see how well it fares with the GIA grading you can input your values here. Anyway, best way to see the value of the diamond is through the scope, cause they are soo tiny.. T_T

Not sure about it. Can you enlighten?

depth % is absolute depth divided by absolute diameter. in marcoyeo's case, approximately 3.10 divided by average of 4.75 and 4.81.

it's IGI certified.

Bro Wacko is right.. depth should be 64.8%.

The correct HCA will be

pictures upload

IGI diamonds are usually cheaper than GIA.. With what you bought, I think the price is fair.

Thanks bro limited. You cleared my points that it is really off.
If that's the case, I might wait for the next few shipments before deciding on the diamond to choose.

Will probably look around more then! Might need your help again when the next set of scopes come in!

Thanks once again =)

Yea it is off. It is a resultant of the cut quality or the level of cut from gem master. But then its really quite hard to get a perfect diamond and be expected to pay more for a very very very perfect cut. Sometimes we just need to accept the imperfections of life. =]

For light leakage, a standard round brilliant is expected to have leakages. =] that's the cut. For zero light leakages, you can look to modified round brilliant cuts like the solasfera. =]

As for the weird center, same thing its a resultant of the cut, if you dont like how it looks, it will prob bug you. Request to see another gem! =] Diamonds are all about how much you like them. That's the value of it. Don't be forced to buy something you don't like.

Send JP a mail! I'm sure they can arrange somethign for you. =]

I think a few of the heart's alignment's a little bit off. Actually all of them less the 4 O'clock one. In my opinion, the bigger the diamond, the cleaner you need the cut to be as they become more obvious. =]

But nonetheless, kudos to the fiancee to surprise you with the diamond! I'm sure he went through a bit of thought before buying it for you!

Sigh.. yeah thats what i thought.. it looks abit unbalanced. Wonder if should exchange it. Its supposed to be super ideal cut.. so i dont know why also. I do like that the light return seems to be quite intense.

Hmm.. if you look at the hearts closely, they seem to be all symmetrically tilted to one side. Maybe this is caused by a tilt in the diamond when they took the photo? I remember a few bros here had this same problem with their photos and posted a re-taken photo which was better.

Like in the actual diamond photo too, you can see the diamond is tilted towards the bottom left (7 o'clock) area.

I'm into photography myself and can understand how hard it can be to take macro shots.. especially for diamonds with all those lights and reflection bouncing around.

If it bothers you, ask them to re-take the photo and see if they can correct that tilt.

I think you are right bedposthalo, it does look tilted. Okay I shall stop worrying so much then.. not gonna ask for more pictures, dont want my boyfriend to think i'm nitpicking his choices. LOL

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Need some opinions for you all? How are these scope images?
FYI: This is an ideal diamond. 1.02ct G VS2.
