Im selling a beautiful Brilliant Rose Diamond ring with the following specs:

Cut: Brilliant rose
Carat weight:0.54
Colour: F
Clarity: VS1
Triple Excellence
Fluorescence: none

Item value is around $7000 set in a beautiful brilliant rose setting. Purchased in July 2012, item still can be traded in Soo Kee for full value (however the item needs to be at least 35% in excess of $7k). Hey bros, I just visited JP today and set my eyes on a Super Ideal Cut Diamond with the following specs:

- Cut: Super Ideal Round
- Clarity: VS2
- Colour: F
- Carat: 0.605

Was taking a look at the report and noted some red marks on the diamond. Can anyone advise what they mean and if I should be concerned?

Also, what is the price range I should be looking at for this?

Proportions and certificate looks good. It will be helpful with the scope photos of your diamond. If its from JannPaul's super ideal cut range, you won't have a problem.. they got super tight QC

i suppose 7K include setting. you should be at least get a 0.6x super ideal cut or 0.5 solasfera... but still, let the expert advise you... head down to listen and u will know what u want.

- Ideal Square Angel
- Solesfera Princess

I'd like to consult you guys on this:

1. Considering equal specs, how are these cuts ranked in terms of pricing?

2. I have a budget of 7k, think I can get a .7x F VS1?

Seen both the cushion brellia and the solasfera princess. IMHO, the former looks better.

I rmb the price is around $7.5k for a 0.711 E VS1 (cushion brellia).

Can't rmb the price for the solasfera princess.. but IIRC, it's slightly cheaper.

Not sure about angel cut though..

Not sure about that, but a cushion brellia in general costs more than a super ideal round cut (I'm almost 100% sure), given both diamonds have the exact same specs in terms of carat, colour and clarity.

I personally prefer the cushion cut as well.. a little different mah.

Hi, I hope that you got a good deal on your stone that you bought from Yee Poh. Unfortunately for us, we got cheated by the sales man from Yee Poh. The diamond consultant took our diamond to try and sell for an upgrade, but he ran away with the diamond and the money. We are trying to ask him to return us the money but we can't even reach him now (even with an invoice its useless because we just realised that Yee Poh Jewellery uses different trade names from time to time when they come down to Singapore). We will be trying to get our money back from the diamond consultant but we would just like to warn people on this forum to be extra extra careful when you purchase from these travelling trade shows. Once they pack and leave they can have you at your mercy if you meet the wrong person. If any of you know when Yee Poh will be back in Singapore do notify me, we may have to go down and beg them to return our money

I got quoted 0.62 E VS1 Solasfera, with side diamonds settings. 7.7k. (The diamond itself cost me 6.6k)

Did i got short changed?

Sounds ok because of the color. I bought 0.79 G VS2 Solasfera at 8.8K with settings.

Sorry to hear that man.. I've never heard of Yee Poh before.. where was there outlet? Hope you manage to get your money back.
