hi guys ! been following this thread for quite awhile and decide to go down to JP to select my diamond for my proposal ring in april .

was served by Rei and given the following diamonds that suit my budget.
Kindly just ask for your input on the diamond !

price difference is around 500 between the 2 diamonds.

Tough call bro. Solasfera is indeed a unique diamond but can get bigger carat with Super ideal. Your choice

it's quite unlikely? i bought a 0.53 G VS2 from JP at $3.5k+... perhaps you can try asking for their ideal cuts instead of super ideal.

I bought mine 0.55 G VS2 at $3.5k (not include the ring setting).
Is it a good buy?

erm, the person did not say why. i just email her, rei, to ask. cause that time was looking for exact size so only left this diamond only under the ideal range. super ideal only have 0.477. anything wrong?

I got the reply from JP was because of the star facet and lower girdle combination, of 50/75.
JP definition of super ideal is 50/80 or 55/75.

I went there as a walk-in customer at 5.30pm and was told that their last appt was actually 5pm. Therefore, they get me to write down my name and contact and told me to make an appt before coming down. When i was about to do so, Ranjit came and took over. i must admit that he is a nice and friendly guy who is willing to serve his customer even after their office hours I was glad to be serve by him and was impress by his professionalism.

I had paid a deposit of 1k for the following diamond without settings,

Shape and cutting style: Round Brilliant

Carat weight: 0.71
Colour Grade: E
Clarity Grade: VS2
Cut Grade: Excellent

Clarity: Feather
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None

Will i only be able to get the scopes after i had made the full payment?

Thanks for the reply bro. I received an email from them yst regarding the scopes. They mentioned that I will probably received a week after. Hmm, have informed them about the setting, so currently stil waiting for the 3d drawing from them
