Any idea how big ussually is the engagement ring? Is it must 1 carat? And how much roughly should i spend on the diamond and ring? Any recomend for jewellery shop? Always see the discount at taka, but some of my friends say it is not very good there?

If ur gf small size u buy something big, I dare say it will look Not proportional and maybe people might think the diamond is fake? Anw I value quality over carat size. And a gd quality diamond, though not big, might shine more

I read that feather can possible result in further fracture if not taken care properly.and not to get those with feather near the girdle. Does that mean I shd avoid those with feather in the clarity characteristic?

2. It depends on your budget. Some people only budget for $2K while some $10K.

For those on tight budget, <$1k also can find diamond solitaire ring liao.. no need to overstretch finances by blindly following the crowd..

.79 vs 2 E for 7800 or .78 vs2 D for 8000?

I would go for the 0.79.. cos E & D looks no diff to most..

Tough choice. But I think I will pick jp. Haha. And I think the carat is bigger yet same price cos color not as gd

assuming the 0.65 is a GIA triple ex, do take a closer look at it with scopes.. if the scope looks good and hearts & arrows looks good, then it could be the better buy.. after all, JP's super ideal is selected from good ideals..

JP just uploaded a video comparison of Super ideal cut and Ideal cut. Difference is quite obvious.. Even the Ideal cut diamond have a lower HCA score 0.9
Goes to show, HCA score is not everything.

it's a marketing video so take it with a pinch of salt.. they would naturally pick a upper end super ideal to compare with a lower end ideal..

JP cut standard are very strict. Solasfera is harder to cut.. so I assume the standards are more strict? If I'm not wrong, the Solasfera cert does not have cut grading as its a modified round. But you can still check the cut with the scopes. No harm checking the diamond with the scopes

Tough choice bro... haha. Like the other bros have mentioned, see which one is more pleasing to your eyes.. Alot of bros here seems to be getting the Solasfera recently..

Just went to JP n eclarity today.

Super ideal
0.527 F VS2 $3,800
0.51 E VS1 $4,150
Solasfera
0.53 E VS1 $5,300

Eclarity price is cheaper with similar specs. But no scope. N they claim that HCA is not recognised. How true is that?
