i am not very sure if its a good one because although HCA is 1.2, the percentage does not fully fall within the super ideal or ideal percentages, hence post here to ask.

With this, probably get a .36 to .39 range then. can drop a price band yet look like .4

The diamond is a 0.40 carat.. should try to get a 0.4X or 0.3ct++. Don't get those round number sizes like 0.30, 0.40, 0.50 etc... If the diamond kenna chipping, then the value will drop alot to the 0.3ct range already.

The HCA is good. Just need to check with the ASET scope. The table (59%) is out of the Ideal range though. If I'm not wrong, its like a 60/60 diamond. The depth is 60%. http://www.pricescope.com/wiki/diamonds/60-60-proportioned-diamond

why not get an ideal 0.4X? You can probably get a 0.46 at that price range.

HCA applies to standard round diamonds, which are the super ideals that are offered at JP.

These round diamonds are offered by other retailers too and is the most common diamond shape.

It only applies to the 57 facets round. For other different cut rounds like the Solasfera, it doesn't apply since it has 91 facets. The HCA works on the assumption that all facets are perfectly symmetrical and only uses 17 facets in its calculation. That's why the scopes are more important than the HCA score cos it shows everything

Thanks thesal for the suggestion. was planning for 0.5c but after bringing her to test water using 0.4 ideal and she finds it too big, got to adjust the size. will insist on quality on my part though.

why not get an ideal 0.4X? You can probably get a 0.46 at that price range.

The first diamond is 0.31 not 0.32.

Given these:
0.31 F VVS2
0.32 F VVS1
0.31 E VS1

Based on the scope images and specs, I will go for the 0.32 F VVS1

Thanks, I mixed up. Is solasfera series worth the penny? Contacted them but yet to receive the scope images. Currently spec given is 0.31 G VVS2 and 0.32 F VVS2, the colour grading shouldn't have much difference /not visible under naked eyes right? Thanks

if you prefer tiny sparkles (disco ball), can consider solasfera.
my advice for color will be minimum F.

As for solasfera, G colour 2150, F colour 2300
