3 diamonds as in super ideal cut?

0.31 F VVS2
SGD 1,800 (excluding GST, shipping & insurance)

0.32 F VVS1
SGD 1,900 (excluding GST, shipping & insurance)

0.31 E VS1
SGD 1,800 (excluding GST, shipping & insurance)

As for solasfera, G colour 2150, F colour 2300

thanks.

0.32 F VVS1 super ideal cuts looks good on spec and the scope. can consider it.

of cos, u still need to see the actual diamond to make your final decision.

Ya, but solasfera is tempting, too bad F color is out of my budget. I hope I can have a look at real diamond, too bad I am from Malaysia, so will only go to JP upon collection of the ring, don't have time to go JP twice. Thanks

Hi guys,

Was quoted $9.8k for a Super ideal cut, 0.81ct, F, VS1 diamond + a simple 6 claw 18k white gold setting. Is it too expensive or the price is fair? Saw that 0.7+ct was quoted 7+k.

Depends on the color and clarity too. Yours is with the setting right?

Wow, that's pretty expensive. Mine 0.8c E colour vs2 with settings only around 8.3k. No florenscence. I got it from Michael trio. It's their signature ideal range too. My fiancee love it alot. She's v picky, went many jeweller to look at their diamond including jp but she only shortlist MT and sookee. Thankfully it's comparable or even more bling as compared to those friends who are wearing diamonds from JP.

I suggest u look around other jeweller first. 9.8k price can get slightly bigger diamonds or maybe can even hit 0.9ct

Micheal Trio's signature cuts are not super ideal cuts. I dont think they can be considered Ideal cuts either... You see all of their signature ideal cuts on their website.. the HCA scores can be 4+... and some of their signature ideal cuts are not even triple excellent. I wouldn't take their labelling terms seriously

Hi Kaysee, thanks for getting back.

Mine was quoted at JP, Super Ideal Cut with a HCA score of 1.1
Anyone knows if it's a fair price?

Hmm don't mind.. Just asking from my understanding you need a microscope or whatever that's call in order to see the cut of it where naked eyes couldn't really see so clearly right?

0.71 vs2 cut excellent grade D I saw at lee Hwa cost around 4.8k.. After reading the forum here.. Seems like the one I saw seems too good to be true..

Is there any other that I need to look out for?

There you go, the scope images looks good.
Solasfera has maximum light return hence the diamond looks brighter. G color should look good too! So u made a decision alrdy?

Thanks. Yes, will go for G color as F color is out of my budget, now discussing with them about the diamond settings.

haha thanks ! looks pretty good but however I did question on the cutlet being a little bit out of shape however they gave me a pretty good reply as well :)

The middle portion of the diamond is the reflection of the culet area, which is a reflection of several facets.
That area is not meant to be a perfect circle and is normal. Rest assured, the diamond is a Super Ideal Cut and the asymmetry in the middle will not affect its light performance.

You are right to get the G colour, as Solasfera usually, due to the max light return, will look one colour grade higher from the top view. :D

What does the gurus think of below?

Quoted $2.2k for super ideal 0.35 E VVS2 3 Ex Fluorescence is None.
Cut score is 100.
HCA is 0.9.

Is it fair price? Waiting for scopes and see if JP has newer stock for F and VS1 to upsize to 0.36/0.37.

Hehe, glad to hear that. Now I am confused of ring size, I remember it was 12 when we tried at jewelry but she claimed it's 14, dilemma, no chance to try anymore as we will only meet next month, after ring collection...
