Can some kind souls take a look at this piece offered by JP at $4k.

GIA 116451704

Is it worth the money considering another store offered me same specs but 0.01 carat smaller at $2910. Don't have the number for that piece though.

Just did my purchase of this piece. Hopefully it turns out nice!

Hi,

I would like to get a proposal ring by 5 Nov next month, which is around 2 weeks time from now. Do you think I should opt out private jewelers e.g. JannPaul? Thanks for your advice!

can ask to see if they can rush it out for you. no harm asking I feel. If not then just go to regular jewellers. :)

Okay... so it's finally my turn after weeks of researching... ended up in Jannpaul. Still waiting for my 3D renderings.. but what do you experts think of this diamond? I have only like 4 to choose from so not much of a choice.

Were you able to see a big difference? If the difference is obvious, maybe can consider.. depends on your budget too.

Visited Jannpaul on Saturday morning and it was a pleasant experience! Looking for a very simple ring, so narrowed down the options to 3 which are:

Super Ideal cut

0.43 G VS1 $2750

0.412 D VS1 $2950

0.45 E VS1 $3250

Most likely going for the 0.43 G VS1, is that a wise choice (worried about the colour G)? Someone please advise! TIA.

Visit to JP

Of course, on everyone's recommendation i visited JP and currently have my eyes set on this: 0.54/G/VS1

If I could kindly request a favour of any learned friend here to provide me with helpful advice on if they are great/not so great/or terrible, I would appreciate it. :D

worried about the centre in the above scope, as it is not fully green. Any inputs ladies or gentlemen?

If there are choices, I would go for a colour F minimum, maybe a .4x with vs2

G color still looks fine! If you have nothing to compare with won't be able to see de la. But... If you're ok with the $200, y not go for the D color instead?
See this video bah.

i think G is okay also, since the diamond in real life is so much smaller than what you see in the videos.

I compared a E and a G colour side by side and honestly it was very hard to tell the colour difference with just the naked eye. In the end, I compromised slightly and went for a G VS2 but got a bigger carat.

Hmm still waiting for the 3d renderings.. I went for the choice that they probably hated most... lol.. the 'simple but something different' design... I hope i'm not giving them a difficult time... at least it's not on purpose.:s13:

Yeah, I remember it wasn't easy to tell the difference in the color... just very slight only. Most important is for the diamond to be cut to maximize the bling then can liao

Thanks everyone for your inputs! In the end decided on the 0.43 G VS1 and placed the deposit. Yup the colour can only be seen from the bottom of the loose diamond, and from the top you can only see the sparkle.

We chose a setting that props up the diamond by a fair bit to minimize any colour shown (if detectable by the naked eye)
