the quality of your imagescan't tell
each melees is 0.03, my ring size is 7.
You?

here is the problem which lies in the HCA scoring limitations
for diamond number 2: the crown angle is above 35 degeres, which makes the diamond top heavy, this is why you're also sitting on the bare minimum of gia's cut grade excellent proportions. i just saw your hearts you uploaded too, the uneven clefting in the hearts shows the uneven lower girdle facets, also shows the table leakage at 2 oclock between the arrows (would not go with this)
i really don't know if you will want to consider SI1 especially with a feather on it, plus i can see the crystal inclusions right under the table and diamond 3 isn't a H&A at all. these are just "alright" excellent cuts, in whiteflash, they would just be under expert selection, not ACA![]()
You are right. I remembered he never mentioned to me that these are Super Ideal stones. He only highlighted these are their hand pick Ideal Cut diamond which i agree they would just be under "expect selection" like what you said but i'm quite happy with this quality of Aset image especially stones 1 & 2 if they are just Expect Selection, not ACA.
Honestly speaking, i like the Super Ideal from JP & ACA but the price is a bit higher for me. I prefer JP more than ACA as i would like to see the diamond in person before purchase. I doubt if i'm able to see any difference when compare these "Expect Selection" of stones with Super Ideal side by side. Furthermore, i remembered someone highlighted before not all ACA are Super Ideal.
Actually i dont really particular about clarity as long as they are eye clean. I consider these 3 stones as i found that it is not easy to get those carat weight that quite close to 0.5ct.
What do you guys think about the price based on the quality of the stones?
Mine's super small... 0.007 to 0.009... makes me wonder if i can even see that the melees are nicer than the std diamonds... my ring size is much bigger than urs..think 9 or something...
SI diamonds are hardly eye clean.. More importantly, it can affect the durability of the diamond.. some more its a feather.. I rather get a Super Ideal and spend abit more. You only buy a proposal ring once in your life..
Btw, girls have very sharper eyes. I can see the difference between Ideal and Super Ideal.
hehe...i have already bought my proposal ring a few years ago. My wife and i actually plan to remove the exsting 0.3ct 3EX to make a pendant and get a new ring which is close to 0.5ct.
She actually went together with me to White Dwarf last Friday evening. Honestly speaking, I am not able to see any inclusion with naked eye under different light condition. I was even advised to see the diamond with difference angle especially from the side view of pavilion but still spot nothing. To my surprise, my wife was also not able to see any inclusion at all. I believe this is becasue the inclusion is white & transparent. We only saw the white crystal when we used a loupe to inspect the stone.
As for the feather, i remembered Casey from JP mentioned before that we should pay attention to the feather's size and position. Generally, if a feather does not create an opening on the surface of the stone, does not reach the girdle edge or does not connect to other feathers near the surface, then it should not be a durability issue. Even Kelvin from White Dwarf also said so when i asked him the same question.
My wife has seen JP Super Ideal before and she noticed the diamond is brigther and whiter when compared to her ring. Again she did a comparison this time during our visit at White Dwarf and she also feel that stone 1 & 2 also looks very nice and very bright. Unfortunately, we can't compare JP Super Ideal & these 2 stones side by side. Now we would like to know if this is a good buy based on this price.
). Or you can a Solasfera for that extra bling.Well, you need to compare apples with apples. One is Super Ideal and the other Ideal. Since this is your second upgrade diamond, you might as well go for a perfect one (then next time no need to upgrade again). Or you can a Solasfera for that extra bling.
i wish but i dont have the budget for Solasfera....by the way..i noticed there are many rich guys here...
you can request to look at the actual melees before JP set them on the ring. i did too... just a 10-15mins appointment.![]()
Just collected my Solasfera ring and I'm really happy!
Thumbs up for JP, anyway I've requested for a video and also the ring tracking on their blog which Casey started recently, can't wait for it to be out Casey Lai
Video is up:
Love the video!
Any fantastic designs for rings they have for men? i am thinking of getting one myself. lol
I was quoted 3 stones from White Dwarf. The service is very good and similar with JannPaul where a thorough tutorial was given. I was served by Kelvin, the Manager of White Dwarf who is quite freindly and no pushy sales.
Below are the stones i am interested in:
GIA 6132500579 0.46ct 3EX D SI1 (HCA 1.1) - SGD1900

Any comments about the quality & price?
if you are looking for value for money
I will go for diamond 3
though seems the H&A is not ideal and seems there is light leakage in 5:00 area ?
are you buying online ? else try to compare diamond 2 and 3
price wise seems ok, GST included ?
for diamond 1, buying D colour for SI1 is wasted ><
Thanks a lot for the advise.
No. I am not buying online. I have seen all these 3 diamonds in person. They are all from White Dwarf - WhiteDwarf Pte Ltd
I went to their office via appointment last Friday. I was served by the Manager, Kelvin and according to him their website is currently under contruction.
Yes. The quoted are nett prices. They do not charge GST.
I actually prefer diamond 2 than diamond 3 as i can see the color difference when they show me all these 3 diamonds under gems light with pavilion facing top.
