I doubt so. If JP takes pride in their signature super ideals, what r they gonna with the diamonds (non-JP) that they buy back?

went by Jann Paul with my wife-to-be today and was attended by Casey. very nice and patient person who willingly imparts all his knowledge to us. He was very friendly and we felt really comfortable unlike stepping into those branded shops.

although we had no knowledge on diamonds, he explained everything clearly and emphasizes the importance of what to look for in a diamond. He showed us diamonds in different scopes, compared with other diamonds, even under different lighting! It felt assuring knowing what you are paying for. the session took almost 2.5 hrs! i hope we didn't eat into his next appointment timing

when i reached home, i realized what he initally showed us through the scope was the round diamonds. When we decided to get the cushion brellia, i totally forgot to see the diamond we chose through the scope! i felt quite uneasy not able to see it personally through the scope but he will send the pics via email soon.

do you think its weird to go back just to see the diamond in the scope? i mean once its set i cant see the hearts and arrows anymore

I don't think it's weird at all to request to see your diamond with the scope personally.

they only buy back their own diamonds if you are upgrading to other diamond from them.

the amt of value depends how long the diamond has been with you. if i remember correctly, within 2 yrs is full value, if more than that they need to send the diamond to check for cracks etc and revaluate it.

Just bought my GF ring last week.

Was serve by david and I can say he is a very patient guy. Great service and I like him listening to all our requirements in tweaking the ring design and provide professional advice when our request is not appropriate.

if you're going for a prong halo, i'd suggest prongs on the side diamonds too not a channel.

just went down today to take a look at the diamond scope views for 10 mins.

attended by jann this time as casey was busy.

he explained to me briefly the meaning of the different scopes again as i forgotten some haha

excellent service even in those 10 mins.

it feels great to know that the diamonds you are buying are of top quality.

Thanks! That's looks nice too. I'm going down this sat to discuss with Jann the design again. The metal around the halo for my design looks kinda weird.

I am looking at getting a proposal ring with a budget of say 2 to 5 k is there any advise on what are the shops I can look?

The design is designed by Jann. I didn't like the pre-designed settings at the shop so I told him what I wanted and he came up with the design to suit my tastes.

Ya it does come with the box. I think it's black in colour.

As long as the diamond is not set, you still can change. Initially I chose a setting that was already in the shop but after when I went back again, I told him I prefer something else. He told me he can design one for me.

I just confirmed my design today Jann said he can rush it out for me by 30th May because my ROM date is in early June.

To be honest, I still am not very sure how to look at the aset pics or ideal pics. I just know that the as long as there in white or green halo/patches around the centre of the diamond means its good. Plus to my eye, it was so sparkly, it outshone the supder ideal round even
