Went down to check my diamond today and yup my diamond is the correct one

I'm going to pour a bit of cold water here. About this going down to check my diamond, frankly speaking I'm not very happy having to make an extra trip down to check the number especially it was said by they themselves that they will only let the customer bring back the ring after he/she has rechecked the cert number and diamond. I don't know why on that day I wasn't told to do so, perhaps they forgot.

Also secondly regarding the design of my ring, I wasn't given an in depth discussion about the design. I was shown the 3D pictures even when me and my fiancé had some queries about it, it was mostly through emails and phone calls. I didn't really sit down and discuss. And when we went down to confirm the design and exchange our invoice, we were just briefly acknowledged by Jann. Most of the time I was served by the sales assistants, not by any of the boys. And I only really talked to Jann once during when I picked the cushion brellia.

Comparing to the other forumers who had great service having met Jann or the others several times I felt a little shortchanged because they committed mistakes to me and I didn't really had chance to have an in depth talk except during the tutorial( that was also cut slightly short because they were closing).

All in all I rathe their service probably 3.5-4/5 because they were willing to rush out the ring for me and also willing to upgrade my diamond.

i also encounter the same problem as u (except the part regarding checking the number) the only in depth talk is during the 'tutorial', and the subsequent meeting, they try to get their other staff to attend to me, i rejected it as it is not really convenient for me to go down again, if there is some problem, but nevertheless i still buy diamond from them, at least they wouldn't try to 'cheat' or bluff us with a lousy quality diamond as their reputation is at stake.

I did my customization with them as well and I thought they were very patient and helpful. My tutorial bit was like 2 hrs... then discuss about the setting and stuff.. The rest of the follow ups and 3D designs was done over emails and phone calls.. Which I think is easier since I kept changing my mind..

When I collected my ring, I was served by another staff cos they were busy. But Casey said hi to me briefly and checked if everything ok and another staff helped me with the rest. I'm totally fine with this. They do get busy, especially on the weekends.. Casey was telling me the maximum he can serve is 5 people a day cos each is 2hrs+.. And sometimes they don't get a chance to eat lunch.. If you compare it to other places, you can tell the level of service is different.. I've been to other shops and was lucky to get 1hr of their attention.

I'll say it's inevitable since how many r the usual names from JP? Jann, Paul, n Casey mainly. Given the amt of discussion abt JP on this forum, I'm sure their appts will be quite a lot. It's still a business at the end of the day, they'll need to prioritise by serving customers on appt first. The same happened to me, I had 2 appt wif casey, n the rest r all by emails. When I went to collect my ring, casey only had a little time to serve me before his nxt appt. But the assistants inside HOH r quite nice in general too.

Oops, meant thicker bands.. Haha. The side baguette does help balance the "messiness" in bigger bands

Yeah!! The baguettes cools off the big bands.. that is what i like about this design also

I think the Brellia might look good on your setting too.. The squarish brellia can go well the the rectangulish side diamonds?? But that's just my opinion

Then if i choose the Solasfera or Super Ideal the side diamonds use round ones better??

I particularly like the tapered baguettes.. didn't see much design with that effect.. more unique to me..

Super Ideal - Classy looking which suits everyone taste buds..

Cushion Brellia - Special shape I don't get to see often..

Solasfera - Classy like Super Ideal..but with more blings and 10 hearts and arrows..

you're asking to choose between oranges/apples/grapefruits

it really depends what you are going for, try to look at all 3 types under different lighting conditions because they all perform very differently

I'm mostly unhappy about having to go down once more to check the number granted both me and my fiance have gone down already 4 times excluding the collection. We asked whether need any appointments, he said no need. Probably I should have insisted on another appointment because I did really want to talk somemore but seeing he is attending to other customers, we came and left quickly.

I'm still a satisfied customer because my ring turned out to be nicer than I had expected which is the most important plus like another said, I am sure of the quality of the diamond.

Anyway I feel better already because Jann called me later in the day and apologised for having to come down again and he did want to speak to me about their after care services but wasn't sure when I was coming down.

Overall I'm quite happy

Yes they are that busy.

Which is why sometimes I am reluctant to recommend JP to friends. I feel that their service levels have compromised since the first time I heard of them.

She is into fashion.. I got hints that she like thicker bands for that more solid feel.. She likes wearing those colorful big chunky fashion rings.. so I think this will suit well with her personality..

I wanted something like this.. where the band is more solid and chunkier.. But I want it to still look simple and "neat"... so they recommended the tapered baguette for side diamonds instead.

And I wanted to see more of the main diamond, something like this

but without the bars so it won't block the view.

And I'm still undecided between the Solasfera or the Super Ideal one.. Or maybe the Brellia?? Argh... so many decisions to make!! But I'm leaning towards the Solasfera...

Hey, I just thought.. what about using the smaller brellias or solasfera as side diamonds? or can also do pink diamonds?

i collected my e-ring and wedding band last saturday w/o an appointment as Casey told me it is not required.

when i reached there, only Jann and Casey were working and attending to customers. David was overseas. I have not met Paul before only spoken to him once after i complained abt something over email/phone to Jann.

collection of my rings were attended by 2-3 ladies and Paul's uncle who is working at HOH. Ok here is the confusing part...

A lady - take the e-ring out, check ring size, talk to us etc

B lady - take the wedding band out, invoices and collect money

Paul's uncle - check my ring size (double check!) and intro me a tennis bracelet to match my rings + gave me a bottle of washing liquid for my ring (very kind of him!) advise and convince me that my 3/4 eternity ring is done well and having more diamonds may not be a gd idea...

we were told to check the GIA number and my bf did it. i am quite overwhelm as 2-3 ppl are attending to us at the same time, standing around us. a bit confusing and rush for me too... as in i cant really take my time to see and try on my rings.

Jann and Casey did came over for a short chat after serving their customers to check that everything is in order.

Summary: I'm happy as everything went well... just the collection of ring part is a bit off...

It's really up to you bro.. You can't go wrong with those 3.. The Super ideal round is the usual round diamond but cut to the highest quality.. The solasfera is also round but is suppose to be more sparkly because of the higher facets.. And the Brellia is a
Cushion but with hearts and arrows which makes it more sparkly than any other cushion diamond.. So it's really up to you... You can also see their videos.. They have alot of videos featuring the diamonds they carry.

For me, I ended up with the Brellia due to the shape. It looks more unique from a distance because of the different shape. One thing I like about Jann Paul is that for their branded diamonds, they don't mark up to a high price like those other stores.. Like Lee Hwa with their Destinee Royale..

Oh, and they also got one more called the Brilliant Lady 21. I thought it was super sparkly but alittle too messy for my taste

I saw some of their videos already. They sent me another 3d design of my setting but with the brellia.

At first I was leaning to the solasfera... but now that I see the Brellia in the setting, it looks pretty good too....... Now I feel I'm back to square 1 again...

I saw some of their videos already. They sent me another 3d design of my setting but with the brellia.

At first I was leaning to the solasfera... but now that I see the Brellia in the setting, it looks pretty good too....... Now I feel I'm back to square 1 again...

IMO, the Brellia looks nicer in that setting.. Btw, what's your diamond size?
