Want to ask about re-making a ring (don't know what it's called).

I have a ring that's passed down by my ah ma, with 9 diamonds and 5 gemstones set in a gold ring (for a guy). We want to take out the diamonds/gemstones etc and make into an engagement ring (prolly only use 3-4 diamonds, the rest keep loosely).

Anyone know who can help us "disassemble" and put into an engagement ring??

I was in JannPaul on Sat without any appointment made. I was not served by any of the names mention in the thread (eg: David, Casey or Jann). But i was served by another staff and SHE gave me a very good lesson on diamond too.

However, i was wondering is there any difference being served by who? because JannPaul is located inside House of Hung and the staff showed me the range of diamond that JannPaul carry, the super ideal cuts ones. So am i under House of Hung or JannPaul? Confuse...

Yup. Is Michelle. So it's okie to purchase from her? Cause I saw one diamond that caught my eyes. And she said is one of Jann Paul series of diamond.

Question is.. why would you go LeeHwa, Tiffany, etc over Jann Paul?
You'll be paying alot more for the brand name, rather than the quality of the diamond. They don't go through the diamond testing tools like the Ideal/Aset/H-A Scope to show you how good the diamond is. With Jann Paul, at least you know you're getting the best quality.. and you can get a bigger diamond with them for the same price.

I know some girls like the brand... But at the end of the day, people would see the diamond and how sparkly it is. So I'd rather go for quality and be sure my diamond will have the maximum bling

I mean, I do really love the teal box... But if I go with Tiffany, my diamond will be much smaller... It's a pity that they don't show their diamonds with the scopes.. So I can't say how good their diamonds really are..

Tiffanys? Not good.

They have I color. Give me I also don't want. Their sales associate already admitted that they have a wide selection of diamonds to cater for all kinds of customers. If I really want to go for brand, I'll pick Cartier anytime.

I bought a Tiffany diamond a year ago for my proposal ring. My gf likes the ring but she found it abit too small and wanted a bigger one. Sadly, my budget cannot afford a bigger one with them. I collected my second ring from JP a few weeks ago.. I'll post some pics for comparison soon.
