cause the star facet is around the same as the previous WF stone, if you were getting this, I would rather risk the inclusions and get one of the previous ones:s12:

Thanks to all for the advise.
By the way when it is stated as having bad bezel light leakage by Grizz, does he meant the green star pattern in the Aset image? I am still trying to understand some of the terms.

Also by previous ones you meant both 0.63 carat from GOG and WF or just the GoG? Think I will shop around a while more as I am planning the Ring in October. Thanks for all the help.

Noted. Thanks for your advise.

How about this diamond? It is a smaller stone than my preferance but seems to be of better quality. No arrow image though.

pretty !

1.2 HCA score (based on SARIN report number)

only cloud inclusion

you can't be wrong with ACA selection I guess

it doesn't mean more inclusions means it's worse. In fact most of the time it's the opposite, if you find a VS2/VS1/SI1/SI2 with only cloud it can mean 2 things, a white cloud not affecting brilliance and eye clean or a black concentrated cloud easily spotted.

cloud crystal pinpoint: might be all small, translucent, and not visible

crystal only: might be large black on the centre of the table visible.

it works vice versa too:s12:

can i know when did u make ur diamond ring so i might be able to have some idea whether do they have mine too. :) thanks ^^

I got mine last year. They still could pass me my design.
They mentioned that alot of people are requesting for their rings to be tracked. So it might take awhile.. But it's ok since I can wait :D

Their after sales service is top notch.. even after buying my ring from them so long ago, they still gave me good service :)

Just had an appointment with JannPaul earlier this afternoon.

Placed an $500 deposit to secure the diamond.

0.64 Carat, VVS2, E color, Solafera - $8040 (inclusive of $550 normal setting/casing)

Any seniors can justify if its a good buy?

as long as you like and can afford it, it is a good buy :)

solasfera diamond has more facets but smaller size of facets, the characteristic of light return is different from "normal" cut diamond

some people like it, some people don't, it is matter of taste

7490 for local diamond 0.64, E, VVS2 is really not bad

for your reference, price from goodoldgold.com (exclude GST and shipping fee)

0.61ct G VS2 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 3,340
0.7ct G IF Solasfera Round Diamond USD 5,146
0.71ct D VS1 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 6,349
0.71ct D VVS2 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 6,587
0.71ct G VS1 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 4,799
0.71ct D VVS1 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 7,869
0.74ct F VVS2 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 5,849
0.74ct E VVS1 Solasfera Round Diamond USD 7,309

My wife has got compliments on her Solasfera ring from her friends. Sometimes I stare at the diamond more than her :s13:

I went to Jann Paul yesterday for their educational session which was extremely informative. Initially I was eyeing for a round diamond and their Solasfera. It seems like the majority of people here are getting the Solasfera.

Jann then showed me another diamond called the Cushion Brellia. Now I'm torn between both... At first I was dead set on the Solasfera after looking at all the videos and people sharing how good it is.. but after see the Cushion Brellia in person, I thought it was something more interesting since it's a different shape. Usually how do you guys decide which to get?? Any tips?

There r actually many here who got the Cushion Brellia too. Both r JP's hot favourites, as well as their super ideals. Just go back a few pages n u'll see all the discussion on the Brellia.

You need to ask yourself which one would your girl like. Cushion Brellia, Solasfera or Round. There are some girls who don't like non-round shapes or extra facets.

My GF don't like more facets diamond. She commented that the scintalation or sparks look smaller as the surfaces area for more facets diamond are smaller.

No matter what tips we give you are not impt. The best tips is still from your girl.

Btw I got a super ideal 0.55 for my GF. Now planning for my proposal. :)
