Super Ideal is the usual 57 faceted diamond but cut to the best performance.
Solasfera is cut more times with 91 facets which gives the diamonds more bling. In a way it will sparkle differently.. see which one suits your taste better

Solasfera have their own webpage --- Home

Or you can see their video

Saw this super big one...

Is that a $540,724 price tag?? :eek::eek:
How big is the diamond? size of a 50 cents coin?? lol

Usually they got send one.. After my visit they send me the diamond quotes and say they will send the scopes 1-2 weeks.. Go read your email carefully ba.

On the actual scope image, the 2 0'clock arrow top have a whitish patch.. I don't see it on the other scopes though.. So maybe it might be due to a reflection.. The rest looks swee

The 1 0'clock heart looks alittle bit smaller?? That might be due to a tilt in the diamond.. Cos I notice the middle portion triangle bits of the diamond looking different too which can be caused by a tilt. I remember asking JP to retake my scope images before coz of a tilt.

After seeing the images of the 2 stones, I'm sticking to stone 1 as per my previous recommendation. The white patch mentioned should be a selection as it's too sharp, defined and uniformly shaped to be an inclusion.

A very lovely stone which anyone would be proud to own.

Stone 2 might be tilted as Grizz mentioned as the aset image is all over the place... Sadly we have to try to identify the tilt ourselves... Maybe they were rushing to get it out or were busy so didn't have time to look at the images before sending it out... Not very nice though...

Hi!
If price difference or anything is not of concern to you and you are only comparing based on the scope images.

The AGS cert stone is a much better choice. Crisp arrows on ideal scope and clear distinction of colours on ASET. Great stone!

Reasonable and Good?

Hi,

Is this of decent good quality at a reasonable price? Quoted SGD $3929 for the stone and $ 499 for the Cathedral ring setting. It may not sparkle perfectly like a Super Ideal Cut but can it sparkle say 80-90% of the Super Ideal?

Round Brilliant, 0.7 cts, H, VVS2
Measurements 5.69 - 5.73 x 3.50 mm
HCA score: 4.3

GIA
Cut Grade: Excellent
Clarity Characteristics: Cloud, Surface Graining
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Faint

Depth 61.3%
Table 59.0%
Crown Angle 33.5°
Crown Height 13.5%
Pavilion Angle 41.4°

Medium to slightly thick (faceted) 3.5%

Cheers!

If you want good value, can consider getting a diamond from a wholesaler and then customizing it to make a ring.

Several years ago, I got a 1 carat, D colour VS1 pear shaped diamond for about 6.5k. Comes with cert from NGI.

Price wise, still ok, but must factor in cut as that affects price too. Cut wise could be better, even if not super ideal, an ideal stone would be nice, even HCA score 2-3 still can consider and still possibility of a good stone, score of 4.3... i wouldn't recommend. Possible leakages, as the crown angle needs to be lower to compensate for the steep pavilion angle.

I would recommend going under 0.7ct and getting a better stone, maybe 0.68 or so...

Interesting point, but i don't know any real diamond wholesalers. Nice price, but some points to take note. You mentioned several years ago, afaik the price of diamond has reason quiet significantly esp this year, where i think there were already 2 to 3 price hikes. Fancy shape like pears are often cheaper then round brilliants, and NGI cert ? I assume thats the local lab here in singapore. For all intents thats as good as an uncerted diamond, and some people might or might not want that.

Any kind people out here can recommend me a proposal ring? Budget will be approx 2k. :(

Any color preference? cut? There's a lot of options out there bro, if you play around it can give a decent .41 to .46 (Ideal Range) or even .51 (Below Ideal Range) :)

Hi all pros,

I chose a smaller carat Solasfera over a bigger carat super ideal diamond. Received the scope images from JP and would like to ask all for you for advice. As the diamond cert is dated quite old, worried that it was not selected by others for a reason.

The 0.65 is a nice premium carat size that you can consider.
This stone has bigger hot spots - the triangle shapes between the arrow shafts. These are not meant to be symmetrical. Bigger hot spots = bigger fire.

Stones with 80% lower tends to have bigger hotspots.

How soon is soon? In a week's time or 2 weeks? You can only have the ready made mounted stone, but resizing I think the fastest is 1 week.

BUT it is worth a try, send them an inquiry for sure you''ll have your answer within the day.

2.5 is decent budget ;-), don't worry and just try to maximize and compare before purchasing.

Yes I still have more than a week for it. Do you know Which brand I should visit to get good support as well as good diamonds? I'm really new to this :)

Thanks.

More than a week is too short (10days???) I think, but it is worth a try. Inquire to JP if they can cater you, Try online seller as well, read through the thread for the online seller as some of the Bro's here received their ring a week after, AND as much as possible filter what you are going to buy.

Due to time constraints you may want to start shop to shop comparison In one day then decide the next day. It will be tough though to look for a Quality Diamond on a Really Good Price in a short period of time and some more you are also studying or learning while purchasing.

If your day is almost over, try to get the ring from a shop that offers you a buyback, or can give you an upgrade later on, but be familiar with their condition. I am assuming, that later on when you realized it is too late ;-), so you still have an option to change or upgrade.

Shops in Singapore can surely cater you with their ready made rings, but it will come with a price.
