well i think the challenge with bluenile is that you need to sieve out the diamonds. The average from the good. And in terms of optical light return i think your diamond is okay. However if you do note the cut quality, it might not be as good as what you can possibly get.

You can tell from the Bottom Pavilion image that the individual facets aren't cut well. and likewise from the Top Pavilion, you can see the diamond seems to be cut slanted to the left, having more top reflection from the 5 O'clock. But well that's being technical. =p
I'm not too sure of the current diamond pricing but I think a good guage would be to check with Whiteflash with their ACA diamonds and see what's the premium you need to pay for a decent good cut diamond. Then you will need to ask yourself the question if you're really paying for what you get. =]

Probably giving you an even better gauge before walking into another diamond shop!

The images too small for me and I don't really Iike the gcal images so I don't really study it unless I have too. Thanks for the addigmmaj info :)

I agree that it would be good to use whiteflash as a comparison, although I think JP will still be slightly more expansive. If you are still considering buying online. Whiteflash is definitly much more highly recommended then bluenile and their ACA is the equivalent of super ideal.

Thanks. Sorry cuz I can't recall the exact price for this particular ring as we bought in pair, including mine. I think either $1.3k or $1.8k, if that help haha. Total $2.2k
how long does it take for JP to deliver the rings?

Hey guys. I just tried using the HCA calculator & got a score of 0.7, am I right on it?

One thing to take note of is to make sure the feather inclusion is not on the edge of the diamond.

Got the scope images.Seems to me the arrows are not symmetrical. Bros, any advice?

Yep, can be seen. Since you spotted something which you don't like so easily, then I think the stone is already not mind clean. Hahaha. If you can't accept the arrows then I advise you to ask them to just recommend another stone.

Yea totally agree with EricMagnusLensherr its clearly not symmetrical I guess a few things that you may want to take note when looking at the ASET is the light reflection. secondly when looking at the H&A scope is the quality of the cut. As you can tell that the spacing between the hearts are way too narrow, meaning the cuts from the BTM pav may be too steep (i think).

Well but overall if the diamond to you sparkles like crazy, and the price is right. Maybe its not that bad afterall. But maybe note this to JP and perhaps can get a discount on the diamond. :s13:

The distance of the V from the hearts is due to the shorter lower halves :p Probably around 74 to 75 by my guess.

And yeah, limited is correct, trust your eyes, as even scope images have their limitations, one of them being that they rely on mono vision (vision from only 1 eye) while in fact, humans see with both eyes.

As what some of the bros here mentioned before, it could be that the diamond was not placed straight..
If we look at the structure of the diamond, the bottom pavilion section is like an ice-cream cone V . Logical thinking leads me to think that it is hard to centralize it. Thus, the tilting.

Ask for a retake.. or simply look at it with the scope again with your eyes.
The space between the hearts and the V depends on the lower halves. Narrow or not isn't good nor bad.
Shorter lower halves will have narrower gap. It results in broader and stronger fire, so you will have more colorful explosions. :flash:

Lol marckisq there is no such thing as market rate. Lol. Some girls want big big. Some girls want small small. Some guys want to give big big. Some guys want to give small small. Lol. So many combinations. Some people say 3 months pay

One good way is to understand what she wants to give and what you are willing to give. Then work towards that. Need to employ your own CSI skills to attain that. This forum, got people give from <0.5 to 1.5. Lol but I think 1.5ct only got 1 bro. Hahah.

Definitely agree here. I got friends who buys super cheap sale diamond, $1k, others buy $10k. My sis dun even want diamond rather take the money to travel. My sister in law want big big big. Everyone different... Give what you can afford and willing to spend. If you want average, i also duno, but among the people i know, the more common values woud be between $3k to $7k... still a wide range. Hahaha

Depends on your budget too.. Remember, after the diamond ring, you still have wedding bands, banquet, etc.
Don't blow your savings on just this one ring.

The sad or should it be happy truth. Hahaha!

Aiya, safest is if got some mutual friends or you know some of her friends or best friend that kind of thing and get about the same size ba. Hahaha! If you don't maybe face book can help. :)

I feel size between 0.5+ to 0.6+ should be safe ba. Hahaha
