Posting for Bro Jackjack42, he already bought the diamond. I won't comment on the numbers since this has a 41 degree Pav and the expected Ex/Ex/VG/VG, exactly what i was arguing for. You guys go ahead. Hearts wise, The hearts is probably the reason its just an ideal.

Specifications for stone are as follows:
1.02 / G / VS2 / 3Ex / Ideal Cut
6.44 - 6.46 x 4.00mm
Cut - Excellent
Polish - Excellent
Symmetry - Excellent
Flurorenscene - None

Depth - 61.9 %
Table - 56 %
Crown Angle - 34.0°
Crown Height- 15.0%
Pavilion Angle - 41.0°
Pavilion Depth - 43.5%
Star Length - 50%
Lower Half- 80%
Girdle - Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted, 4.0%
Culet - None

HCA:
Light Return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Very Good
Spread: Very Good

Score: 1.4

Hi bro, would you be able to elaborate on your point on the following:
1) this has a 41 degree Pav and the expected Ex/Ex/VG/VG, exactly what i was arguing for - So this dimensions are considered good?

2) Hearts wise, The hearts is probably the reason its just an ideal - Anything wrong with the hearts? i can't tell from my novice eyes based on the scope images

went the whole day shopping for wedding rings in lee wah, goldheart etc..

shortlist:
budget 1-2k
looking at clarity vs1, vs 2,
color - e to g
carat weight - the bigger the better but seem only can get 0.3

any where else that we can consider? thanks

1) Erm... to put it simply, I feel its fine and good esp with scope images to back it up, but some other members don't feel its safe. Hahaha.

2) I think the obvious things even you can see if pointed out. One example is the V's are not all the same, some are unequal. But, based on info some bro's posted (basically the lack of JP's name on the images), this is in fact a normal ideal and not a super ideal. For an ideal diamond, i think its fine, no worries, and in fact, given the weight of over 1ct, you probably saved a bundle by going for ideal... given the price premium, an equivalent super ideal would cost significantly more :)

Can try Meyson, 2k can get 0.4 E VS2, G should only be slightly cheaper so i think no point. Also, don't forget our beloved Jann Paul (JP). They might be able to work something out for you too. Is your budget 2k with setting ? If so might be a little more limited. JP will probably still about 0.3+ abit at most, but you get good stone and good service and can probably customize your design if you want to make up for the stone and to make it more unique. Cheers

Hahaha you mean me, 'some other bros'. :s13:
Ya its good enough to be considered a H&A, but if you aren't picky about perfection. I've seen worst cuts that people still claim its H&A! I try to find some images.

Regarding the hearts, most of them (less the 10' clock one) got clefts, and this is the result of the imperfect reflections within the diamond. Then the arrows the top half is longer than the bottom half. And through the ASET scope, you can see the 'Arrows' have a bit of green at the base of the arrow heads, depicting that the arrows aren't just reflecting light from the through the top, but from the sides, as such you may have a shallower contrasts with the arrows.

But overall bro, don't worry so much. You've got a great diamond! and at a great price too! I think a 1ct JP's Super Ideal would go for 14k, and you got yours at a steal! =] in any case, you've already bought yours, don't create buyer's remorse for yourself. =p

Defnitely agree with Bro Limited, don't create buyers remorse for yourself. Hahaha

Actually I think with 1-2k budget a 0.3ct diamond of your required specs would be a decent deal. =] You may want to see what of the 4 Cs are important to you and play around with it. If cut quality may not be so important to you, you can try out online stores as well. Have you had a look at Bluenile?

(Not saying that online stores don't have good cuts, just that they may have a wider range of stones from average cuts to good cuts.)

Hahaha I very chill one, I sounded very hostile meh? =p
Relaxing.

I think at the end of the day, I'm not a jeweller and also here to learn. If I got so pro, already open my own diamond shop and sell diamonds lo! I think what we are offering to the rest of the people are just 2nd and 3rd opinions and to help them too! we are all one big family!

I like the new image "format" you have there @Jackjack42! It's better in white background hehehehe

BTW, it's a nice Ideal ;-) compare with other online shop, it's on their Super Ideal line.....

from a girl's perspective, we can't really tell when a diamond is more brilliant than another. to us, we only see bling bling la especially when it's a 1ct diamond :s13:

I received the scope pictures from JP but I can't post pictures and links as I don't have enough posts..

I wonder if Ange1yn would honor us with some images of the diamond showing its fluorescence. Maybe some shots in direct/indirect sunlight and some in UV light? I'm sure other members would love to see it :)
