Visited JannPaul last week and placed a deposit on an engagement ring for 3.6k. It's 0.45ct, VS2, D Color with Super Ideal Cut.
Didn't receive any scope pictures, or is only given upon request?

And yes, they allow interest free installments for credit card payments.

Just wondering also if the above stated is reasonably priced.

Anyone tried Fairy Inc?

I find that they are really good and can give lots of ideas and since they are ladies, they tend to be rather creative on some of the designs. Price wise I guess it a little more expensive as compared to JP, but they do have quite a unique design from what I see.

Btw, any idea how long JP takes to repolish the ring?

Hi everyone,

Any comments on the images below? G VS1

Also, are there any big or noticeable differences between colours G and F? Am actually contemplating going for a smaller size but with F colour.

TY!

Hi Bro,

Care to share the details of the diamond?

Scope images are looking great! You can never go wrong.

About the color, if you are really that meticulous then do not go with the G.
Though you will have a hard time seeing the difference by merely looking with it without any tools.

G VS1 is still a very nice combination ;-)

Hi all, would appreciate comments on the following stone from jannpaul pls:

Round brilliant
Ideal cut
0.72c F VS1
EX/EX/EX
Clarity: cloud

Hca score 1.3

Depth 61.9
Table 56%
Crown 34.5
Pavillion 40.8
5.72-5.74 x 3.55mm

Star length 50
Lower girdle 75

According to the SA at JP, this stone is graded ideal cut cuz of the star length/ lower girdle combo of 50/75... They only consider 55/75 and 50/80 as super ideal. Compared it with a super ideal and couldn't really tell much diff when they put it under the light.

Price inc setting (customised 6 prong twisted cable white gold) is 7k

Do u guys think its a gd deal given that its only ideal cut? I have the scope pictures but am unable to upload here. Would anyone be able to help me upload pls? Thanks!

This is the diamond from JP.
Find it quite nice except the bottom of the 3 arrows (3-5 o'clock) which are a bit off.
Does it matters? Appreciate any advise.

wah i long time never come back online le. so many new bro's diamond shopping again! Anyway magicdriplet and Lun-er, both of you got a nice diamond there!
Between G and F, you should arrange to do a blind test. Most people can't tell the difference. But some people may be able to. Sometimes a yellow hue is seen due to the reflection of the lights. And remember the best way to look at a diamond is from the apex pointing up!

magicdriplet, being critical, the 11 & 12 O' Clock arrow stems looks off a little. (might be due to the angle of the shot taken.) And the V, of the Hearts look a little uneven. But it looks relatively uniformed

Lun-er, the arrow's stem on the 1 O'clock position seems a little off, resulting in your heart's image also abit off. But your heart's image look more consistent. As a result a better cut. =]

my 2 cents

Is JannPaul and House of Hung the same? I went yesterday and was entertained by Sam who was very knowledgeable. After a lengthy discussion and mix-matching, I settled for a .44ct Solasfera G VVS2.

Will post more details once I have it.
