Hi bros!

Me just got a diamond .47c, F, vvs2 super ideal cut at 3.3k from JP!

Do you guys think it's worth the price?

The good thing is that you can top up and upgrade to a better diamond..

Please advise me on this! Thank you!

Does your price include the settings?

Any reason to go for branding like Tiffany and co if JP is so value?? Noob question.

Branding n image lor.. mention Tiffany and every will know it's branded.. mention JP and most pple goes "huh?".. If u are looking at premium or branded and want better value for money, can consider jewelers like JP.. but if not looking for premium or branded, then go other normal jewelers to find better value for money..

Getting this design but with different center diamond.

Any help is much appreciated.

I think the cushion will look nicer on that design. Matches with the teardrop shape side diamonds :)

Am wondering how did the ladies find out about JP also. Is it from mutual friends who got proposed to and after they shared where did their fiances bought the diamond, then they realize that JP is actually a very good place to get diamonds? I guess it's win-win, easy for guy if SO wants a JP diamond and easy on the guy's pocket so can even get a bigger rock at JP than elsewhere.

Haha. You'll be surprised. 2 of my colleagues got their rings from JP too. One of my cousin is looking for a proposal ring. I wanted to recommend him to JP but turns out he already knows about them. Lol

It does relief some stress for us guys

Anyone tried to buy or have experience from orro private collection? Because I'm looking for 0.25 carat diamond with platinum solitaire. But I don't know where to buy with my budget which is 1000-1500sgd. Can anyone suggest a good place to start? I think I can't afford jannpaul.l or am I wrong?

unfortunately it doesn't come with settings! have to add 550$ more for settings! I hope it's not considered bad in terms of price..

Their pricing is consistent with their super ideal cuts and are reasonable. For a few hundred more, I know you can get a 0.5ct size but need to drop on the colour and clarity.

Guys,
Just to get your opinion on the price tag of 9.8k for a tiffany brilliant round solitaire that is .49c, VVSI, E color.

Is it a reasonable price?
And how it pares up for jp ones of similar quality?

One of the bros got a 0.47c F VVS2 for $3.3k.. plus setting, should be within $4k all in.

I don't think you need to top up $5.8k to get an upgrade in colour/clarity..

Suggest you make a trip to JP to see see first.. before you compare the quality of diamonds between JP and branded jewelers.

Good luck!

$1.5k budget shd be able to find a 0.3x ct GIA triple ex ideal cut with setting.. at this size I would say give higher priority to carat and compromise a bit more on color and clarity. Small can't really see much.. :D

I think you cant compare Tiffany and JP. Tiffany's diamonds are certified through ur in-house appraiser whereas JP's diamonds are usually GIA or AGS certified. Therefore Tiffany can appraise a diamond to have D colour or with clarity of IF but in actual fact it may be F colour and VVS1 if it is appraised by GIA. But in my opinion i dont think Tiffany's diamonds are that bad also... Its just that with a price tag of 9.8k, im sure u can get a bigger and better diamond at JP. At the end of the day, you are just paying for the marketing and branding of Tiffany.

Ya, I guess it's just boils down to bragging rights. Other than that, for same $, can get better specs elsewhere.

Your ring setting is like those vintage designs. Lots of side diamonds with intricate detailing. Personally, I think the cushion brellia will look nicer in this kind of design. The cushion shape is a vintage shape itself and will complement with your vintage setting. The round solasfera can look good too.. but if you're trying to pull of the intricate vintage ring feel, the cushion brellia will emphasize it more.

Plus I think squarish diamonds looks good with side diamonds settings.

That's just my 2 cents ;)
