JP quoted me 0.71 G VVS2 7.3 k
so comparable to the one they quote u.

Look thru scope seems similar to me so I bought from cheaper source.

I'm getting one with similar spec like yours. and similarly, i'm inclining to a private jeweler we met instead of JP..

I don't think brands will make any difference in retaining the value. It's not easy selling diamond rings away. I got my Bvlgari diamond ring and considered selling it away but no takers.. Some offered me at less than half the price but I'd rather just keep it.

Focus more on what you want and the quality. Something that you can wear forever or even pass down. You can't go wrong with a high quality diamond.

nobody would want to buy a pre-owned diamond ring...loose diamond perhaps...

branded ring are mark up for its branding, marketing dollars and profit margin...

just imagine, pvt jeweler is able to replicate some branded design at half the market price and still nett a decent profit for that!

0.74 E VS1

How come the AGS certificate does not have the color and clarity grade??? :s11:
It says it has a GIA inscription 6122586130.

I checked on GIA website and it shows this stone.
GIA - Report Check

It's a 0.74 E VS1. But the proportions are all different!

AGS Cert
Table - 55.8%
Crown - 34.4 degree
Pavilion - 40.7 degree
Depth - 61.8%

GIA Cert
Table - 55%
Crown - 34.0 degree
Pavilion - 40.6 degree
Depth - 61.6%

All 4 proportions are not consistent... Also, the GIA cert shows it's a 2011 diamond. Very weird for it to have a AGS cert but GIA inscription and AGS cert don't show the color and clarity grade. Is it a second hand diamond?

On the AGS cert, it shows light leakages at the corner - the green patch
But you need to confirm it with the ASET scope.. I doubt this is Super Ideal cut...

Hi bros, does anyone know which type of defects is the worse among these 5 choices; (1) needle, (2) crystal, (3) cloud, (4) feather, (5) pinpoint? Which type of defect is acceptable to you? Thanks for the help!

I guess Feather > Needle> Crystal > cloud > pinpoint (of course you have to take into account the size of the inclusion in proportion to your diamond)

But if the inclusion are not breaking the surface or near the girdle, they should be fine. VS2 and above clarity should be okay i guess.

thanks bro! but i dont understand what is meant by "the inclusion are not breaking the surface or near the girdle". By means of near the girdle, does it means near the sides? most of the inclusions are at the side of the diamonds i have seen so far.

My girlfriend knows about JP and told me to check them out but she never tell me what type diamond she wants. Can I get any advice on which type to choose just by looking at them? Specs aren't an issue.

Thanks. The proportions should tally right? I've no idea if this is a second hand diamond... How can I verify this? This is offered by a private jeweler though. I've looked at the actual diamond and looks good, but I've not scrutinize on the light leakage green patch...
