JP's cushion brellia is it more expensive then normal round super ideal for the exact same specs same carat?

If I'm not wrong, the Brellia is slightly more expensive than their round super ideal. ..

When i was there a month back brellias were cheaper than the super ideal round for similar specs.

Really? Hehe dunno leh, always got the impression that Brellia are more expensive.. haha I could be wrong though.. but what matters is that my gf likes it!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the Super Ideal and Brellia costs about the same price.. The Solasfera was definitely priced higher.

Received the scope images of the Solasfera and Brellia I shortlisted. Are the scopes ok? Any comments will be appreciated! I’m most likely going for the Brellia. No doubt the Solasfera seems more dazzling, the Brellia looks more special.

that is a really huge rock you got there! grats man. For the ASET scope, should the middle section be red rather than green?

Just reserved a diamond from Jann Paul this afternoon.

Certified by AGS

Triple excellent
Light, Polish, Symmetry: Ideal 0
Carat: 0.468
Color: D
Clarity: VS1
HCA: 1.3
Round Super Ideal
Fluorescence: negligible
Price: 3.5k without setting

Hope the price is alright.

Went through the heart n arrow scope etc and compared with a 0.51 vvs2 F and almost same except HCA of 1.0 n price difference of 750.

Which is a better deal? Still able to change as have not confirm setting?

Anyone can comment about the customization of setting? How do you guys come up with your customised design?

You need to request from them the photos. You can also request for them to take the professional close up photos of the final ring.

Someone asked that on Paul's FB page before
https://www.facebook.com/paul.hung.779?fref=ts

This was his answer

that centre middle portion of the diamond is simply the bottom, culet section of the diamond reflecting back, the reflection of the underside of the table. A double reflection. when you have a pavilion average angle of 40.768 and above, it's receiving light at a 45 degree angle which appears Red on the Aset. If you have a pavilion angle of below 40.768, it's receiving light from under 45 degrees whereby it appears green. Sometimes, when some angles are a mix of above and under, you get a mix of green and red there is entirely no issue whether this area is red, green or mixed because there is no visual difference at all

And in case your wondering if this centre part is suppose to be a perfect circle.

sometimes when culet is slightly off centre/table off centre this may occur, there may be other variants like another facet slightly off which may cause this. However, the way the diamond picture is taken can greatly affect this as well, imagine a slight tilt, we're talking like 0.1 degrees, may cause this to happen. A diamond must be exactly 90 degree perpendicular stood up to have an accurate shot. What this means is that the diamond has to stand on it's culet; if the hole where the culet is sitting on not 100% well shaped and the diamond sits in it, there's bound to be some sort of tilt. This would not affect most important issues like the major sections of light return and contrast in the aset, but the centre where you are talking about it commonly slightly distorted. If the diamond is distorted however, you can usually find it in the hearts imaging. (the hearts is much more accurate because the diamond sits flat on top of it's table, ensuring a very close to 90 degree perpendicular shot.

wow must have cost a bomb

Haha.. ok la. We're more quiet folks and plan to do a simple lunch wedding rather than big banquet.. so the money I save from there can go into the diamond.. At least diamond has more tangible. Heading to JP now to view diamonds again :)
