I just went down to JannPaul and have the below quotes excluding setting:
0.51 F VS1 - $3950
0.518 E VS 2 - $4050

I will like to ask the below questions as I am new to diamond:
1) is the prices for the above diamond reasonable?
2) which one is better ? Colour or clarity?

Hope someone can provide me with some advices.

just curious, the diamond is super ideal? personally i will go for the cheaper one cus E and F cannot see much diff. and VS1 vs VS2 no difference using naked eyes i think haha.

Both are different types of diamond cuts. The cushion brellia got hearts and arrows and princess cuts don't have hearts and arrows. But the solasfera princess is suppose to be the best type of princess cut if you are going for that square box shape. It's all different if i must say, so comparison like that is not very suitable.

HCA only applies to the round.. it won't work other cuts.

I only went down once to see the diamond and make deposit. The next visit was when I went to collect the ring. My design was quite straight forward cos I roughly knew what I wanted. All the custom designs I got from them was thru email

They will mount the ring on some magnifier and show you the GIA number when you head down for ring collection. That's like your ring's ID number, cannot dont show you de.

Hope is a reasonable deal..

i tot ur color should be d,e, f colourless...

but i guess for a higher carat this should be fine considering that usd has strengthen over the llast one year.

if u wanna gauge the price, u can check out other jewellers to get a feel of the price range for similar specs. (i went to these few: canary, yuen tung wah kee, jp and lovida)

see if ur budget permits a bigger carat.

color d (best) else f and g,h is still pretty white on its own and once its set.
clarity only matters if u use scope (for me, min vs1)
